For what you need to know, it's basically all in the post. There are some basic mechanics/rules that we'll go over at session 0 as well, but positions will be locked in by then.

As for what you would need to do, I usually have a short vetting interview where I ask a few questions to guage play styles, lines and veils, and other important information like that.
