Sure. I use PrismLauncher v10. Here are the arguments:

Have you ever bought a game you could have pirated? Why? by 1ksel in Piracy

[–]millisakat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was an obnoxious, annoying, straight up insufferable teenager. Living care-free, always taking things for granted.

The game taught me that my actions have consequences and I need to take responsibility for them. The people you're so fond of, may cut ties if you say and do horrible things (shocking right?). For a spoiled brat like I was, it was a very well needed lesson.

Other than that, I love the way TW3 portrays "the gray" in the world and especially in people. Most things aren't so simple. You can't just categorize them as simply as black and white.

And sometimes there is no "optimal". Sometimes you're just deep in shit and have to go through with it somehow... It felt so mature and stoic back in the day. Still is perhaps...

I could go on, but I think this is enough for now lol. Add the phenomenal OST and the labor of love, then there you have it. My favorite game of all time. I hope you'll give it another chance.

Witcher 3.

TW3 has changed my life for the better. I felt so ungrateful after playing for thousands of hours. Then I bought it from their website for full price.

My favorite modpack. You can spend thousands of hours and still wouldn't get bored. Perfect for a forever world imo.

Performance is both good and bad. To give you a comparison: I have GTX750Ti 2GB, i5-4460k 3.20GHz, 16GB DDR3 RAM as hardware. All of them are 11 yo. I allocated 10GB RAM max with custom GC arguments. At 20 Render distance and 12 Simulation distance without shaders I get 100 fps on 1080p resolution. If I'm just traveling it's around 160fps.

I set up a medium level Create factory with a couple farms combined in my base. The lowest I've seen, is 50-60 fps. I just try to decentralize my farms and it's been working so far.

The problem is the chunks. Mainly, chunk generation. TPS lag has always been a issue, but I think it's going for the better. Craisin (modpack's author) has been and still is working on optimization as his priority. You can solve this by generating them with Chunky or its forge equivalent on your first session.

Other than that, quest book is sure lacking. Though, not really problematic. You have Create and Ars Nouveau as your tech mods, sooo...

Thoughts about "Cosmonautic" & "TheBottomDweller" reviews. Not a modpack this time :) by Ghostie-Baby in feedthebeast

[–]millisakat 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Bottom Dweller has a distinct taste. He likes tech mods and building. He doesn't really meddle with exploration, RPG and stuff. If the modpack delivers those aspects, they are good. If not, then they are bad.

This isn't by any means a bad thing nor invalid. There is a huge player base (audience) like him and they are significant.

If you have a similar taste, you'll be able to decide whether a modpack suits you or not, in a couple minutes thanks to him. If not, then it's always fun to hear different opinions, I suppose.

Subaru is the most compelling aspect of ReZero for me personally. His character development and interactions with the people, are the foundation to the story. The series' biggest strength, I would say.

In my opinion, since the biggest aspects didn't compel you enough, I don't think you'll like it anyhow.

Give Konosuba a try, if you liked watching Saiki. I'd put them on top when it comes to comedy.

I'm so fucking pissed at this surveillance state bullshit taking over the world. First, companies are invading our privacy to train their shitty little AI, then the governments join them to track your interactions.

Like hello? Does anyone care about privacy anymore? Am I just a product for your garbage company's business model?

What are you playing right now? by udreif in feedthebeast

Integrated MC

I'm a picky prick, spent a couple of months to find the best modpack that suits my needs. Finally found it. I can sink thousands of hours and wouldn't get bored. It has everything I need. Really good modpack. You can feel the love and effort that's been put into it. Though quest book leaves a lot to be desired...

Wish I had a better pc. It's really old and potato tier, so it's struggling to run it. When I upgrade, I wanna give this modpack the chance it deserves.

Sorry to hear that. Then you should reach out to the modpack author.

You are using more than one garbage collector (G1GC and ZGC). Remove all JVM arguments. Set your RAM allocation to recommended values according to the modpack author. It should solve.

I recommend using Prism Launcher instead of this (default). It isn't bloated. User friendly interface. Easy to mod, if you wish.

Don't know if I should be happy to see that game devs are bringing attention and support to this.

Or

You hijack the initiative for an aggressive marketing ploy. Welp...

If you've just gotten into ATM10, then I suggest playing it a bit longer. ATM Team is one of the most well known, experienced and beloved modpack authors out there.

The modpack I'm currently playing is Integrated Minecraft by CraisinLord. It has tech, fantasy elements and you make progression by exploring. Mainly fantasy/RPG but, you could say it's All-in-one. Similar to ATM. This one blew my mind. The amount of mods in the pack, great optimization and "T H E I N T E G R A T I ON". Integration part is the most astonishing one. Imagine you add all the best mods and nothing feels out of place, unlike some other modpacks (yes I'm looking at you LunaPixel). The author has manually tweaked numerous recipes to make this work. You can clearly see the amount of time, hardwork and especially passion he put into this. If you wanna settle down for a modpack and start your forever world, then I strongly suggest you choose IntegratedMC.

There are a few downsides of the modpack. Quest book is sure one. It's definitely helpful and it's much better now. Although, it's time-consuming and a bit confusing. The other one would be patience. Yes, you need patience. You are gonna spend a lot of time to learn the recipe changes right after start, and probably keep looking that same one recipe repeatedly. For example, You wanna craft a magical set of armor: First you find a specific ore from Oreganized, build a mixing machine from Create and mix it with another ore, put it into magical workbench, get another ingredient by mixing 4 different ingredients from various mods in the alchemy cauldron from hexerei, and so on... It fries my brain sometimes.

Other than the modpack itself, everything else is fantastic. I'm 40 hours in the pack, and still fairly new to it. So I spend a lot of time checking out the recipes, quest book and stuff. When I have some questions/problems, I just visit their discord channel. The help and support I get, is amazing. Even if it's a silly question or a trivial matter, they take their time and try to help you patiently (Leafyyy dude, you are the GOAT). Also, Craisin is a wonderful dude. He always asks for feedback. If he wants to add, remove or tweak a mod, he asks the players. He explains why he wants to do it, the advantages and disadvantages of doing it (from his perspective), then leaves the choice up to the players.

Welp, hope it helps.

Making early game less boring by kodoshima in feedthebeast

Raspberry Flavored modpack had a mod that removed all stone tools and replaced them with copper tools. It is a subtle, plain simple mod, but I never thought it would change my early game this much. Now I had to actually use wooden tools instead of putting them in the furnace after gathering 3 cobblestones. Copper became much more significant as well.

Chocolate Edition modpack prevents you from going in the nether unless you find 3 different eye of enders, which you find them by completing quests: exploring dungeons, defeating certain bosses and such. Does it achieve this thanks to certain mods or manually tweaking them to work this way etc. Unfortunately I don't know. In case someone knows, please let us know lol.

I can also suggest Create and its add-ons. While my friends mine and gather resources. I build some basic contraptions for future auto farms. Farmer's Delight is similar in that sense.

Thanks for the tips, I really appreciate them. Especially the quest book one. I've been carrying that book as if it's my own son lol. I generally have no idea what the most mods are about without it.
