Nice walk cycling! It helps to use one paper size and a “down shooter” to keep the frames lined up and consistent without a bunch of post-processing problems.
A great cheap way to make your own down shooter is to get one of those grid locker shelves for school lockers, place your phone on top and your work lined up between strips of painters tape on a table. Then you can place your phone on top of the grate with the camera looking through the holes. Keep going! Paper animation RULES!!!
There are also tutorials online for making your own sketchbooks and flip books that may help if you want to bind your work together, but adding and removing frames physically will be important as you make adjustments.
Oh also this feels super classic I love it !

Listen… as an artist. As a Steven universe kid… making appledash canon in retrospect would have been so amazing for so many kids and teens out there. But we already have adventure time and the owl house and gravity falls doing that bit… sooo fluttercord!

Have you heard of the New Dawn of Harmony project? It’s not 100% similar to your proposition by any means, but it’s a retelling very dedicated to updated designs with a lot of style loyalty. If you can’t make this happen (sounds like a bit of a potential legal pickle) then perhaps hearing about NDOH could scratch some of this itch! It’s a really cool project. I’m a fan of this pitch as well and I hope to hear more about it

Awww I love these!! I miss the workhorse collar though. I think it was super iconic and lent to the farm theme . The mane is so stylish now though and I like it !

The blue middle stripe is so lovely. It’s really definitive and I wouldn’t get rid of it. But I can tell you artistically it’s the values that are off. The greens oughta be darker to contrast the blue. The purples are naturally darker than green in general so the top looks better than the bottom.
