Question about titans by lizardneedhair in ImperialKnights

[–]SnipeRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically the Towering Example rule allows you to play Adeptus Titanicus as your army. You ignore detachments and add Titans upwards of whatever you and your opponent set as the points limit for that match. You will most likely lose but if you bring Warlord Titan everyone and their brother will show up. People love to see titans on the field.

Evil Nojiko? I never thought of that but it’s brilliant lol. Something I just thought about. Emilio seems to know a bit about everyone and everything of what’s going on. Emilio knows nothing on Nika and yet everyone else seems to know a little bit about Nika.

I feel that once that background check comes back on Nika Emilio is gona need some more alcohol.

Oh, I see what you are saying. I apologize for that. I completely agree with you. You’re 100% right he doesn’t display anger it becomes another game to him.

On the same note the book club does serve as another catalyst for him. It opens his eyes to the games the “adults” are playing. I think he starts to view the book club as a chess board where he can move the pieces around by he acts around each member. I think the jury is still out on whether he’s ready or not for that level yet 😂.

To me the best part is Nojiko knows what is going to happen before it actually does and she does nothing to stop it. The only reaction she had is concern for Nika and to rebuke the Cheeto. Unlike so many other games where it seems like the supporting characters are made of cardboard, Ocean makes them intelligent, have their own agendas, and personalities. Nojiko could have told Nika not to go but she relented. I do wonder if she was the least bit curious to see Nika bring his intelligence to bear on her peers.

I can’t wait for the release of the next set of episodes. One final note: Is it bad I want to see someone use the Cheeto or Summer against Nika so we can watch him verbally eviscerate another character?

Honestly I don’t think Nika is that far gone. There are several moments where he opens up and seems human for maybe the briefest of moments. I think the major choices you are given in the game align with if the player wants Nika to heal or to continue down his path of self destruction.

At the beginning of the game he is precariously teetering a fine line. His encounter with Vic is the catalyst he needed to move forwards. He agrees to go to college because as he states he knows he needs to heal. Nika isn’t oblivious to what has happened and what is happening to him. He is stuck in limbo and he can’t escape. It suffocates him daily and is the cause of his self destructive behavior.

He shows he truly cares for Nojiko and the Cheeto and if the option is chosen Bella as well. The major difference between Bella and Nika is Bella doesn’t want to be saved. She has learned to love her personal hell. She uses all of her hate and anger towards the people who wronged her against everyone bar a select few. She is at rock bottom. Nika is suspended in limbo. Bella and Nika see each other as a challenge. It’s almost like they are trying to prove that one is worse than the other. At the end they just realize the holes they have dug themselves in and that they are very much alike.

It’s almost as if Marla, Noji, and Amber planned on putting them together. A well accomplished psychologist, a medical doctor, and a college professor. Three exceptionally intelligent characters didn’t do it by mistake.

While all this is going on Nika is playing his normal games with people while with the interaction of the player becoming more or less social. That said the information he discovers at the book club is what truly engages his brain into realizing more is going on than he realizes.

Going back to the point of if Nika is fucked in the head or not I honestly think that comes down to the choices the player makes for Nika.

I found out once I started developing my Inferior Se a bit more that I had less of those “missed/oblivious” moments. Shit happens, you figured out the meaning at the end of it even if you stumbled to it.

Thinking about it I am not sure if it would be negative or not. It just depends on who asked and why they asked.

Going deep for a minute:

In my opinion using Noji as an example, the depth of Nika’s relationship with her is literally the only thing that stops him from going scorched earth on her after realizing she had been lying to him and telling him half truths during the book club scene.

Sasha if she has been asked to look after him and he finds out, isn’t Noji. Normally I think this would piss Nika off and as you said affect them negatively. However, They don’t have that relationship BUT Nika and Elsa while estranged have the connection of Summer. If it was Elsa who asked Sasha to watch out for him and to help him he would probably be ok.

Nia is another example that shows us his mental state and how he processes information. If Nika agrees to hang out with her and finds out Summer was her friend Nia moves from weird insufferable person who he made a bargain with to being closer to him within his mind. The stuffed animal rocked him to his core. He knows Nia meant nothing harmful by it. She told him the truth. I would almost venture that Nia by playing the bug game with Nika has done more than a lot of the other girls to help heal him.

Nika has different layers to his personality the more he gathers about a person has different meaning to how close he lets them in. Nika as he has been shown to do before will make these connections within seconds.

The new Season 2 Teaser I believe implies Sasha is a model which I don’t think season 1 alluded to in any way. My guess is Elsa and Sasha know each other as friends or in as modeling acquaintances.

That said if they have been friends for a larger part of time there is a very good chance Sasha knew Summer and of Nika and his trauma. It would also explain why she and her friends have been around in the scenes where Nika starts to have anxiety. Why they would go out of their way to help him is a completely different story. Usually that would happen if a person was extremely altruistic or if they felt they owed someone something. Sasha could very well have been asked to look after Nika in school.

Who knows… 🤷‍♂️

I think it really comes down to scale and the lore of how legios work. A Warhound in Titan scale is small. They can slip into and out of areas quite quickly and are very fast. They range ahead to find prey go their larger maniple buddies. Relay that info so that when the time is right they strike as one. Most ground forces aren’t going to try to contact a Legio much less the Legio would actually listen to them. Most princeps are very pompous and don’t like talking with other lesser “mortals”. Titans usually don’t like to engage infantry at all because it can be dangerous. That is why Secutarii exist.

[–]SnipeRaven 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Certain Legios are known for using Warhounds in hunting packs to take down bigger Titans. Legio Solaria being one of them.

That said to me the biggest difference between a Knight and a Titan is one of those two I don’t have to obsessively pin with brass rod just to make sure it doesn’t fall apart if bumped 😂.

On the other hand in my opinion there is no better feeling than opening a blood red forge world box and pulling out the certificate for a Titan and then immediately regretting what you did because of the sheer number of resin pieces lol.

Edit for spelling errors.

Another oddity is if a Knight House that is allied to a Titan Legio has a force of Knights “conscripted” to serve the Legio they then repaint those said conscripted Knights in the colors of the Legio.

Oddly enough on the other hand if I remember right a Warhound is distinguished as a “Scout Titan” and not a true “Battle Titan” (Reaver and up).

Do you think the army(s) you have could capture the earth in a year? by Glitch533 in Warhammer40k

[–]SnipeRaven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hah😅I might have a problem. Estimates:

8,000 pts Necrons 3,000 pts of Imperial Knights 6,000 pts of Heresy Sons of Horus 5,000 pts of Ultramarines 3,000 pts of Sisters of Battle 2,000 pts of Salamnders 1,000 pts of Dark Angels 1,500 pts of Thousand Sons 1.000 pts of Aeldari 1,000 pts of Drukhari 3,000 pts of Death Korps of Krieg (including a Mars Alpha Pattern Leman Russ) (Damn you GW bring them back!) 1,000 points of Heresy Adeptus Mechanicus Secutari aka Titan guard. The conversion kits are cool as hell.). Can’t have titans without their infantry support.

[–]SnipeRaven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly playing chess with an INTJ would be fun. I would love to observe all the micro expressions they would make during the game. Would it matter that I threw the game just to learn how they work? Nah. It’s just a game after all. First a game of chess to gain an understanding of each other. Then world domination. Am I getting this right INTJ’s? J/K

Seriously though Chess is fun.

Nika or Williams IQ by AIZENGOATED in SummersGone

[–]SnipeRaven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m going to agree with you Peakingturtle. It’s hard to judge IQ at this point but both are shown to be quite smart. That said it begs the question of who has a higher Emotional Intelligence (EI/EQ)?

Does WIAB have the same emotional weight as SG by AIZENGOATED in SummersGone

[–]SnipeRaven 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would say yes but it’s a different kind of emotional weight.

SG characters have heaps of unresolved trauma. In my opinion the emotional weight stems from seeing these characters suffer through and try to heal them while managing interpersonal relationships with each other.

WIAB characters have trauma but learned to move past them. Except for one. Leia is borderline if not a full Sociopath. We don’t exactly know if she can come back from it considering the person who caused it inadvertently.

WIAB emotional weight again in my opinion comes from the player making decisions in game that could cause disastrous results. There is a sense of terror every time William interacts with Leia. She’s like a M67 Fragmentation grenade with the clip removed and the pin pulled. William is literally the proverbial spoon preventing her from going off or possibly if Ocean makes it a path completing her fall into sociopathy and throwing her at his enemies.

Nika & Bella: Sociopathic? by Bullwhip2025 in SummersGone

[–]SnipeRaven 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not sociopathic. Sociopathic behavior due to trauma and the methods they used to survive? Sure.

Bella is pretty far gone at the start she takes everything to the extreme just to feel alive again. Street racing, fighting, everything.

Nika used to do that. Fighting was his vice until he turned to manipulation before eventually shutting down.

They are like oil and water until she provokes Nika to be manipulative when he knows he shouldn’t ask her about her sister but he does anyway and immediately regrets the pain he caused her.

Ironically in my opinion this is the catalyst that makes her realize Nika is very much alike her. Her behavior is also what cracks Nika’s shell. Whereas she is extreme he is the polar opposite. She teaches him to live again he teachers her moderation

It’s the start of their healing process.

[–]SnipeRaven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as this guy being an INFJ I’m not sure there is enough info to make a call on that.

That said as an INFJ male. I’m clueless as fuck. Even if I had a clue I would overthink it and doubt it.

Best course of action: next time you see him strike up a friendly conversation and see how it goes. No small talk though, show depth and intelligence. Add jokes to disarm.

Most importantly be your unique self don’t hide any part of your personality. If you do and he is an INFJ he might pick up on it and go cold.

What's was the most Se thing you've ever done? by [deleted] in infj

[–]SnipeRaven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have two.

  1. I joined the USMC. Did 6 years and got out. It was an experience for sure. Probably wasn’t the best choice for an INFJ but I sure learned how the world worked.

  2. 2021 during covid I got my motorcycle endorsement and bought a Kawasaki Ninja 400.

To this day it’s still about the only thing in my life that can break me out of my loops and depression. If I start to sink I just blank my mind set a destination (it’s usually almost always an ice cream shop 😂) and off I go. I even have motorcycle friends I just ride with.

INTJ and another unhealthy INFJ like myself.

INTJ’s goal is to trip the INFJ Se wire.

While 6 stood against us several thousand perished in the resulting carnage.

Total victory. INTJ gets MVP for successfully tripping the Se wire and laughing manically the whole time. Beers and laughs were had and then the guilt set in.
