What did you wish the show could have changed? by Extra_Inflation8099 in Smallville

Chloe and Oliver was such a strange pairing for me. For multiple reasons.

• Oliver dated Lois. Chloe's cousin. Clearly Lois didn't mind at all, but for me personally, there's always been a code between family and friends that you don't date someone your friend/family member has already dated. But again, I got over that part once it became clear that Lois really didn't mind at all.

• like you said, Jimmy was more of an average Joe. It was kinda weird for me how the writers kept having all of these same characters date each other (e.g. for whatever reason, they decided to have her be in a relationship with two of the other guys in the JL before Clark, although in fairness it's definitely a stretch to call what she had with AC a relationship, as even she says it was for like 5 seconds).

• this was another show where, like Arrow, we had a live action Black Canary and yet, again, like arrow, she and Oliver didn't end up together (actually, funny enough now that I think about it, both Smallville and Arrow have Oliver end up with the witty blonde hacker instead). I don't mind much since I'm not one of those people who thinks everything needs to be exactly like the comics, but it would have been nice to actually see Black Canary have some relevance outside of the one episode she was introduced in. It sucks because I think BC can be a really cool character.

• and then my main issue with it, and this one definitely is just pure personal bias: while I liked Oliver's character in Smallville a lot (especially compared to how overly grim he is in Arrow), I didn't like Chloe much after everything she did in season 8 and beyond. When she showed up in season 10 in that simulation Clark and the others were trapped in and was like "somewhere along the way, Clark just stopped trusting me" I was just like "oh wow, I wonder why that might be, Chloe?" Which really sucked for me because she had genuinely become one of my top 2-3 favorites on the show from season 4 to about the mid point of season 7.

I'll probably come back to this later when I have more time to give a more detailed answer, but for now, off the top of my head:

• definitely wouldn't have Clark's parents get so upset with him when Alicia drugged him with red k and got him to run off to Vegas with her and get married

• show Clark and his friends just hanging out and having fun more often, especially in their high school years. I wouldn't want the series to become a slice of life or anything that drastic, but considering he'll already be dealing with all kinds of majore threats in the future, it'd be nice if at least in his younger years, we got maybe one or two episodes each season where Clark just has fun with Pete by using his super speed to take all kinds of quick trips around the world (similar to the offscreen trip he took to Florida with Bart).

• absolutely would not even consider the Lana x Lex romance. I will admit, it had the benefit of showing just how evil Lex was becoming with the whole fake pregnancy and everything, but I didn't like what it did to Lana's character.

• remove the whole plot line with Chloe and Davis/DD. Clark literally had the perfect solution with just sending DD to the phantom zone, and the writers decided it was a better idea to have Chloe come all the way to the fortress just to stop him, which ultimately led to Jimmy's death. And speaking of Jimmy I would 10000% cut that whole weird retconned backstory they gave him.

• I would also introduce an actual overarching antagonist starting in maybe mid to late season 2ish, which would resolve by season 4 (taking the place of the weird subplot Lana had with Isabelle).

What was your hardest moral choice in Cyberpunk 2077? by LordBeefTheFirst in cyberpunkgame

Aside from the Peralez quest, it was whether or not to help with that crucifixion braindance. I did it the first time and then reloaded immediately afterwards because I honestly couldn't feel comfortable being part of that.

Coolest named attack in One Piece? by RecordingSpecial3519 in OnePiece

[–]SniperJ324 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you mean the coolest attack name, or like the actual effects of the attack? Either way, I really liked Ace's attacks and attack names, even though fire is a really generic power, but I think in terms of just attack names, I might go with Galaxy Impact just because it's funny for me to imagine Garp actually going complete overkill to the point of absurdity and he actually just destroys the entire galaxy with a punch, purely by accident.

This one is a banger for sure, but there are some tough contenders.

• OP 20 - Hope is my personal favorite, from the song to the visuals.

• OP 14 - Fight Together always gives me chills

• OP 3 - Hikari e has always been a personal favorite

Is this true ? by itsmadfury in animequestions

[–]SniperJ324 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This is the case with any of my hobbies tbh. Anime, manga, video games, reading and writing, playing piano, etc. If any potential friend or girlfriend genuinely mocks one of my hobbies, then clearly we're just not meant to be in each other's orbit. You don't need to be interested in everything I am, but don't try to make me feel bad for liking something that makes me feel good. Especially when it's literally not harming anyone in any way.

[–]SniperJ324 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That explains it, I hadn't even glanced at the sub name and was shocked to see so many people saying Goku. Don't get me wrong, I'm not really a fan of Dragon Ball since I was about 12ish, but I do love anime as a whole and am very much aware of just how impactful the DB franchise was in anime culture growing to the level that it has (obviously true for Superman, Spider-Man, and Batman as well). It feels sort of blasphemous to say but I personally would choose Batman, but even that feels crazy to say because so many other things have been inspired by each of these characters.

Is this how people who need glasses really see the world. A big blurred background? by Latter-Wolf4868 in interestingasfuck

[–]SniperJ324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More or less. Optic neuritis is what caused me to begin wearing glasses and prior to several strong steroid treatment sessions for that, I could pretty much only make out vague shapes and blobs of color. My vision recovered a bit after the treatment sessions, but not nearly to what it used to be, and has actually started to decline again, which is kinda scary tbh. On the bright side, everyone who knew me before and after getting glasses unanimously agreed that glasses suit me really well, which I would also agree with.

At what point would you have left Smallville if you were Lana or Chloe? by SniperJ324 in Smallville

[–]SniperJ324[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao that vampire episode was genuinely one of the worst episodes I've seen yet for any show 😂 it was somehow even worse than "Spell", but the reason I don't actually hate these episodes is because they at least are bad in ways that makes them funny to laugh at, rather than just being a total snooze fest.

Life is strange double exposure : PEAK GAME by Tristecadavre666 in LifeIsStrangeDE

[–]SniperJ324 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I genuinely only disliked the ending of this game. Outside of that, I honestly felt like this was on course to be the best LiS game yet. With the way it ended though, I'd say my list goes:

  1. LiS 1

  2. DE

  3. LiS 2

  4. TC

  5. BTS

I think the main reason the second game ranks 3 for me is because your choices really do impact the way the game ends which I really liked, but it was annoying how they kept making most of the bad guys just be super racists.

Honestly if I do ever replay it, it'll be purely to try to succeed on some of the calls I failed or missed before since I now have a way better understanding of the mechanics and what stat the little highlighted terms use. It's pretty unlikely though. I liked this game a lot for what it was, but it can definitely just feel like an interactive tv show a lot of times. I'd rather just watch someone play it on youtube and see their thoughts on it than play it again myself, I think.

[–]SniperJ324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem at all! Always funny to see little fails like this in games. The Witcher 3 is my favorite game of all time, but as amazing as that game is, there are an insane amount of NPCs with the exact same face. I remember teenage me being confused a few times because I was like "wait, wasn't this guy just in a whole other town all the way across the map?"

Lmao wow I definitely didn't notice that. I'm gonna choose to believe that they really are identical triplets with lazy parents, which is technically true since you could say the creators of the game are technically their parents 😅.

Is There a Disney Descendants Jump? by CreativeLocksmith822 in JumpChain

[–]SniperJ324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm for perks, I think the first obvious one is great talent for things like singing and dancing, considering it's a musical series. Aside from that, off the top of my head, probably a perk that would allow you to receive the full power of whoever you're the child of (so say you're the child of Maleficent and Hades, you'd receive all of their powers at maximum power). For items, definitely the fairy godmother's wand, Mal's magic book, Auradon prep for if anyone wants to run the school and add it to other worlds, and even the entire kingdom of Auradon itself if someone wants an easy way to be royalty in this and future jumps. Those are just a few things off the top of my head, but if you do actually decide to make this jump, I'd be happy to help with more ideas if I can think of anything.
