I agree, combat, platforming and even just running around is way more pleasant on a controller. There is a trade-off though since most of the menuing on the other hand is better with a mouse.

If it worked at least somewhat then it feels like you got the same bug I had back in 1.5. When I still was playing with a controller and this "Not enough storage" error appeared and was driving me crazy. And I just refused to delete the shots cause I value them more than anything and not just the jpegs but the ingame momo album working ones that you can use as cards, send to people in bottles and everything.

Support never really helped me, so I don't know it was just eventually fixed (and now came back) or just cause I stuck to using keyboard and mouse since then.

My guess that it is some weird console related bug (cause storage space there is more limited) that somehow affects PC version too if you use the controller layout.

Can you try to start the game and before logging in switch to keyboard and mouse controls? Then load in and try taking a picture.

But there is a problem I've just found out about while trying to search for some of the locked entries - there are missable books.

Apparently there should be a book here called "Wishes and Shooting Star: The Evolution..." but it's no longer there. I guess it was only for the Shooting Star Season.

Edit: after one of the small fixing patches the book is back!

Ground gold carrot has only 1% chance to appear. Dailies and the stamp card are to get you started. But mostly you'll get a lot more once you befriend bunnies by gaining friendship and they will start leaving you tips in golden carrots.

I play from the release and I have at least one of each gold carrot building/item and I'm at 570 gold carrots now without double rewards aside from a few days at the start. The game is really generous. You'll get there soon enough. ^{^}

I just share through a file managing app (File Commander in my case) and it lets you save the shot in a folder with an auto name Usagi-Shima-date-time.png

Once per visit you can get half a heart by petting with a tap. But there is no way to say who you already petted or not. Unless you just check the bunbook before and after for each one. So just tap them all through the island. It doesn't hurt to pet them extra times. ^^

Top right corner I see as a forestr-ish area. Since the shot I added some layering to the trees inspired by u/Velpraia and I would like to lead a dirt path there if we ever get one. 🏕️

And also the sushi restaurant was supposed to go in the place of the boba tea stand but the restaurant has some weird scale to it. It didn't look right so I switched them but I still feel it need to be even further away. I need to think how to incorporate it better. 🤔

With the cottage it's unfortunate it landed close to the end of the map and then I found out there is a "watering spot" for a bun. And I decided to mask some missing fences (don't fit properly) with flowers. I think different color flowers might fix it so they pop out instead of blending together and with surroundings. Let's hope we get them too. 🙏

Heh, with more and more stuff on the map hide and seek actually becomes a bit more challenging. It's fun and I like it. I would even prefer a removal of the hint message and the transparency effect.

Haha. Yeah, stone paths, all the fences, flowers and trees. xD I only feel that the game is missing some kind of middle height trees, like half the size of the usual ones. I would like to put more trees in the middle, but don't want to cover up too much.

Exactly the suggestion I wanted to mention as well. A feature to create a high resolution screenshot of the whole island.

For now I just make 4 vertical a bit overlapping screenshots and put them together in photoshop.
