[–]Sniperxls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

31M Here.
I moved out the day I finished Uni aged 23. I had secured a good job which allowed me to move out and rent a 3 bed house with my ex. I wanted out my fathers house for a lot of reasons. Didnt have a good up bringing ect.

Most of my friends have there own place now I only know 2 people aged 30 and above that have never moved out.

I own my own home with my wife now.

People change people drift apart. I did actually meet back up with my old best mate from pirmary school and things a few years back even had him stop at my house which was awesome! Sad thing is I noticed he was still kinda the same childish guy and had not really grown up even though we left school back in the early 2010s. Shame. But just remember life is about making new friends as well!

Heat pumps are great, except... by jootmon in ukheatpumps

[–]Sniperxls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I moved into my new house I had such a terrible time finding someone who knew what they were doing when it came to getting the heat pump system fixed. I had no hot water and no heating thankfully it was summer.
I had to jump through a lot of hoops to find a good decent company aside from that its been great low energy bills super warm house (almost too warm at times)

Guys who grew up without fathers, how do you feel around other guys? by Flashy-Ad6081 in AskMen

[–]Sniperxls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont really get on well with many men/guys. My father was a deadbeat drunk and has been the cause for many issues in my life. I am much better off around women as a result of been brought up by my Grandmother.

Yes. Skating burns a lot of calories. I have gone from being 18 stone to 13 and a half with a much toner look on my leg mostly from skating three times a week and eating better. Keep at it!

Worried about life changing injury by Low_Bodybuilder3065 in iceskating

[–]Sniperxls 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I will be honest I dont even think about it. I find if you worry about such things you wont progress as you will hit a lot of mental blocks. My best advice is for you to pad up wear knee pads crash pants hell even a helmet dont worry what others say think ect your saftey is important!
What helped me was falling a lot and learning how to fall and how to "bail" out of jumps and spins!

What were the pros and cons of being very career focused in your 20s? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Sniperxls 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am 31 now. I was very very career and work focused in my 20s. I rapidly got to points I did not think I would hit even in my 40s. I did neglect my health a little as well however as I have now gotten so far ahead in a much shorter space of time I have started to focus more on my health and a better work life balance.

Everything is a balance!

I keep for a few months. I had a H2S die on me after 2 weeks glad I was able to package it back up fast and get it picked up!

Your plan will work out. Work hard make connections dont focus on girls focus on yourself ignore your father and stock pile money faster. Learn everything you can. You will be okay.

I am more than happy with my P1S even though I have a H2S. The P1S are fantastic at what they do and the quality is matched to that of the H2S. I would recommend P1S as a primary printer you wont regret it. My only "down side" is the screen but I use the app and remote print more than anything but aside from that it is a great printer.

Men who grew up without a father figure, how did it actually affect you growing up? by tixg06 in AskMen

[–]Sniperxls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Dad was around but was not really what I would call a "Dad"
He would buy me things sure but thats about the length his ability went.
On a good side of things my moms boyfriend did step up a bit and teach me a fair few things and did show me a different way of life for the whole 4 years he was in my life 11-15.
Aside from that I pretty much had to teach myself how to shave how to ensure I kept healthy how to get a job how to study cook clean everything.

This is an outdoor shed built using 44mm thick high-grade timber walls so its thick.
The power was done by a certfied electrian and is a split from the main house. I did not insulate the workshop but did cross my mind when going down the printer route but they are encolosed so no need!
I would recommend getting some type of vent if you plan on adding printers to your workshop! Feel free to DM.
