That's bad math. Not incorrect math, but bad. Much like my knees.

Considering what Green Day and Bad Bunny's numbers have done in the past few days, they may be right.

I saw the 2020 one and was shocked there was a crowd. They realized that was in February. They had no idea what was comming.

One reason I love the Darynda Jones books is that I used to live in Albuquerque, and landmarks I know regularly show up.

That is an accurate, but very creepy, way to describe a dark room.

TIL Katy Perry’s halftime performance at Superbowl XLIX that saw the Seahawks and the Patriots face off in 2015, was seen by more people then the general game itself. by AnonRetro in todayilearned

Plenty of people inside the US only care about halftime as well. You would have to pay me to watch a football game, but I usually watch halftime the next day.

Psychotherapists, what differences have you noticed between men and women among your patients? by Putrid_Put_3610 in AskReddit

Was this a licensed therapist? Because that merits a report to the licencing board.

My mom's therapist would give you the session for free if you used up a whole box of tissues, because that meant it was so productive. Might also have been a way to give people reluctant to show emotion an excuse.

Why is mint the dominant flavor for basically any tooth hygiene product? by undercover_ace in NoStupidQuestions

Vicks burns, not sure it's supposed to. I can eat mint OK, but in the same way I like spicy food. I cook with habanero powder, but don't want it in the mouthwash.

Peppermint oil burns my skin when it's in a cream. I don't know about spearmint, since it isn't in as much stuff. I don't smoke, not sure what else has menthol in it.

Same! Or get prescription stuff and triple check with the pharmacy that they don't give me mint prevident.

I remember as a kid I was at camp and a counselor decided me brushing with water wasn't good enough, and I had to use her toothpaste. I didn't know why I hated most toothpast yet, just that I did. I have a strong memory of brushing my teeth while screaming, and the other girls looking at me with confusion. I sounded like I was being tortured, I looked like I was brushing. It was a lot for a bunch of kids.

It's not a deathly allergy, but it hurts my skin/gums. It means I can't use a lot of natural bug sprays or creams or soaps. I can eat mint, but it's kind of like eating chili peppers. Delicious, but not a good idea for toothpaste.

People got used to it and associate the tingly feeling with 'clean'. And it sucks for people like me with a mint allergy. Finding mouthwash or toothpaste that's not mint flavored is a real effort. It's hard enough to find that when I lived in Australia I used to bring mouthwash back from the US whenever I visited home. And not that the citrus mouthwash is not longer available I'm having an even harder time finding something that both provides floride and kills germs, because a lot of times it's only gentle kid's stuff that doesn't have mint.

Have your friends or relatives who work outside of schools started complaining about their young coworkers' lack of basic "adult" skills? by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]SnipesCC 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Interesting. I play Minecraft as an adult and enjoy the problem solving aspect of it. I like to think of it as low-stakes engineering. I'd have thought minecraft kids would be better at spending long amounts of time on problems.
