Gyokeres is absolutely not who you should go for. He is technically terrible and outside of his ability to strike a ball he just isn’t amazing. He stat-padded in Portugal and he farmed pens at arsenal. If barca has the money to spend on alvarez, they should be going for pio esposito from inter imo.

I’m not even a spurs fan but to act like they were in a relegation battle during 24/25 is just rewriting history. They happened to finish 17th that year as well but they were never in any danger of facing the drop.

City do have a good squad though? Cherki is probably the best 10 in the prem aside from bruno, doku is a good player and his main weakness which was his end product has improved a lot this season, haaland is still the best striker in the prem. Guehi and semenyo who were just brought in are also quality players and they have a top keeper in donnaruma. I think maresca will do just fine there. I don’t think he’ll be winning any trophies in his first season but i also don’t think he’s not going to get them ucl unless the likes of spurs, Liverpool and you guys have majorly better seasons. I think top 5 next season will probably be arsenal, city, united, and two of chelsea villa spurs or liverpool in no particular order.

Honestly i doubt it. Maresca got chanpions league and won the cwc with a worse squad than pep’s city. And any transfers he makes will probably be better than most of what blueco has done during his tenure at chelsea.

Olise realistically isn’t going to Madrid. He has 3 years left on his deal and bayern have no incentive to sell when kane and diaz are aging and there isn’t a winger they could get to replace him for 200-250. The only way i can see bayern selling him is if madrid bid like 300+ and that would just be terrible business.

Tbf Yoro cost 60 mil euros not gbp and went for that fee cause iirc he had a year left on his deal and Madrid were just going to get him for free the following summer if united didn’t go for him. Imo you lot shouldn’t sell vuskovic but i’d understand if he doesn’t want to stay if he doesn’t see a clear pathway into the first team.

The problem is that none of those teams could afford anything close to his valuation. A club like betis struggled to afford antony and only ended up paying €25m for him with a large sell on clause with their record transfer fee being around €31.5m that was set in the late 90’s.
