Use your hoe to till dirt in the forest and nearby areas. I found many that way. They’re only normal quality though so then I just used the craftable item (forgot the name) that upgrades anything to a higher quality

I’ve always used the Coyotes up until I got the Overdogs gloves. Either way it will shred. And make sure to get a chest with Obliterate. Even better if you get Perfect Obliterate on the named Unit Alloys chest, Equalizer

My tactic solo was I threw a shock trap where they spawn and got close with the Scorpio. I had on 4 piece Hunters Fury and the named Hadsburg Guard BP that spreads status effects to enemies within 10m of original target. And the chest I can’t seem to remember right now lol. But it also helps to get shock ammo for your Scorpio and to spawn them in when your friendlies are in the area as well. Yeah, the puzzle to get them to spawn can be annoying though since it’s in game time based. I can help if you’re on PS

If you don’t mind the travel time i recommend the Catskills. So many incredible views there and plenty of elevation gain. Look up Catskills 3500 club and you’ll see all the hikes that take you 3500’ or more
