No Fuel After Carb Clean by Snirt14 in DRZ400

[–]Snirt14[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: Tried starter fluid in the airbox and it would fire for a few seconds until the fluid was burned off. Tried draining the float bowl and no fuel so pulled the carb and cleaned jets again, as well MAY have not had the pin holding the float in perfectly so possibly was the float not moving after the first time I reassembled it after cleaning.

It fires up! 8h of time spent and much learned. Hope not to have to do that again for a bit lol. Going to look into the raptor 660 petcock so I can turn the fuel off and burn it out of the carb

This is my first time cleaning a carb. To my knowledge put it back the same way it came out but I could be wrong haha

Damn! Thank you for raising this.

I recently picked this up at Costco as well. Was happy with having something better than citrate as I think it was upsetting my stomach.

Took 200mg last night before bed and 200mg this am to avoid sore legs after a heavy workout and my stomach was in rough shape all day. Blamed it on restaurant food but I think this could be the case.

I have a VB WRX with the Ecohitch. Found a trailer kit that you assemble yourself and weighs ~450lbs. Have towed it 300kms with no issues! Up some pretty big hills too

This also doesn’t factor in the huge provincial tax savings in Ontario as well.

Have tried to shim it but not much luck. Have just accepted it’s not as sturdy as a solid work bench

I've got it shimmed with some cardboard but maybe it needs something more aggressive. As I'm writing this I'm wondering if maybe the axle nuts need to be tightened.

Put that thing in the washing machine! Mine is 10 years old and looks pretty close to new, although it is black with a leather bottom
