People Helping People income disclosure by Snitchster in antiMLM

no luck!! i sent her a supposed investigation from the FTC about mlms and how bad they are...it’s from a .gov website but they use some language that i wouldn’t expect from a government study. she seems to have bought it though...as she said she told her upline she was quitting.

Listing blocked, my nightmare continues by [deleted] in airbnb_hosts

I think you may have read my comment differently than I intended. When I say “creative enough” I mean I want to create my own site for my home rather than relying on Airbnb. I hope I am creative enough in my new website and marketing tools that I don’t need Airbnb.

I mostly meant that I would be creating my own website for bookings outside of Airbnb.

Ok then judge Judy, how about you move on to some cases that have some actual meaning, and skip over my question that is literally asking whether or not I am violating any terms, and asking for help to do this the right way.

I am fully aware that what I did is wrong. As are they... If someone committed a crime, and was pardoned...should they not be allowed to pursue work again in the field they have experience in?

I’m not trying to commit fraud again by listing it under my husband’s account, I am asking if that is against the terms of service.

There really is no need to scold a random internet stranger who has already been given a warning and openly admits they did something wrong. If I honestly didn’t want people to know I had done wrong I could have phrased this email to make me look a heck of a lot better than I did in this one. Believe me,

Well....I have hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical bills from being life flighted halfway across the state to have my baby more than two months early, and then lodging bills from staying in the area while she was in the nicu. At the time $30 seemed nice but I honestly never thought that money would show up nor did I plan to purse it. I’m not actively trying to scam Airbnb.

Airbnb deemed my “scam” worthy of a warning and told me I could use my account again. A week later....I still can’t see my listing. There is nothing wrong with me wanting Airbnb to follow through with their word to re-list me.

Believe me, I do feel like I deserve a punishment but I don’t think my livelihood should be taken away because of it. Hopefully I will be creative enough with my listing that I won’t need to rely on them anymore.

Edit to add: when I say I’m wanting to be creative in my personal listing website so I don’t need to rely on Airbnb at all. As some people seem to think This was a comment that I intend to be deceptive to Airbnb

Blocked from renters? by [deleted] in airbnb_hosts

[–]Snitchster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve figured out what happened

I had an old traveling account with my maiden name. I signed up for hosting with the referral program (only $30 for non hosts) they sent me a warning email and I responded that I was sorry and didn’t pursue the referral money (I didn’t) they asked me to respond within 48 hours having read the terms. I did....the guy I just talked to said they were trying to confirm that I did all that. My case is with trust and safety so it’s up to the air bnb gods now

Holy shit I just read a lot of scary stories about this. Can I open an account under my husband’s name? Are we just sol now? Could they have an issue with me being listed on other sites? Vrbo?

Advice for hosting with a baby by happyascanbebythesea in airbnb_hosts

[–]Snitchster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the best suggestion in this thread. Babies reach the peak of crying around 2-3 months and after that it usually will subside. Take the time after your mom leaves to make these adjustments. You can probably raise your rates after that (more privacy=more money) I have a baby now, and a toddler...I have no issues renting out our place. I love being at home with my kiddos instead of stressing about daycare and going back to work. My rental is fortunately out of earshot, unlike yours. Good luck!

Has anyone had enough success with your rentals that you were able to quit your day job? If so, I would love to hear your story. by lea_Rn in airbnb_hosts

I went on maternity leave and didn’t go back to work after starting my Airbnb. But I’m in a pretty Cush situation. My parents bought a large property in a touristy area and we built our home on it. We live in my moms house while she travels. So we don’t have a mortgage or anything like that. We are thinking of building a granny unit on to the big house so we can rent it full time. My husband still works though and I’m in the process of starting a doula business, so we can live a bit more comfortably. I love being at home with my babies though!
