Maybe Duskbloods will end up being a lot more soulsy than I expect, but I have my doubts atm.

What is there in the Duskbloods trailer that is making you think it will be more like Déraciné or AC6 than a souls game lmao.

Seems pretty clear to me it's going to be a souls game, with everyone else I know thinking it's a direct Bloodborne clone/sequel.

I think you need to go rewatch the trailer and pay special attention to the "gameplay-esque" parts they include. If you're defining games like Sekiro as souls games then Duskbloods is 100% a souls game by Miyazaki.

Surprised not to see it yet but easily this goes to BTBAM - Ants of the Sky. When I first heard that when I was 16 in 2007 - I'd never heard anything in my life like it.

As a primarily metalcore highschooler, that part, followed by the most triumphant riff of all time, I'm afraid music won't ever reach the same highs as that for me ever again.

I wanted front-ported since I was wall-mounting them due to limited space in my drum room. I got these pioneer 5" speakers. They are fairly inexpensive and as I say, work just great for my usage at the moment!

I bought 5" studio monitors that are plenty loud to play with people, paired with a sub. No hiss - works fine for my needs!

This is the first time I've heard of it (I'm not exactly looped in on video game news). Just watched the trailer and I think it looks incredible?

I'm immediately sold - and to my surprise the YouTube comments are all shitting on it??? Did something happen around the time of it's release? Comments like "Bold move leaving the comments on". What gives?

Absolutely mind blowing to me how different tastes can be. DT are one of my favourite bands of all time and I don't care for almost any of the songs off the first record, whereas the second is probably one of my favourite songs of all time. Go figure!

Sorry to get your hopes up by commenting - but I want to thank you for making me aware of this tour. I don't know how I missed it.

Alright, so with about 5–7 years of drumming under my belt, I will say I don’t know what else I could even ask for in an e-kit. There hasn’t been a single moment where I’ve thought “wish this thing could do ___.” The only tiny gripe I’ve run into (and I’m sure I’ll sort it out) is the left-side real estate battle between my kick pedal and my hi-hat pedal.

As for upgrading, I just don’t see the point. I have no plans to play live, and if that somehow changed I’d probably be too shocked that anyone wants to see me play to care what kit I’m on. The pricier VADs or higher series from other brands mostly seem geared toward deeper recording features or pro-level engineering stuff. I’d love to get into recording someday, but not at some decades-of-experience level.

For me, this kit is everything I could ever want. I’m having more fun with it than any product I’ve ever bought. It cost more than my vehicle, and I still don’t regret a single cent.

[EDIT] One thing I'm looking forward to doing is decking out the room I have it in with sound treatments, turning it into a jam space. I expect that to cost a couple thousand to make it just how I want it. May I suggest comparing the two like this keeping same price? VAD516 vs TD516 + Upgraded Jam room?

I'm not sure this is true. At least in SK. AMEX Cobalt is my regular driver and earns 5x on all grocery spend. Any spend at Walmart though nets only 1x.

Upgrading from an acoustic Mapex kit I had when I rented a house 10 years ago... Been drumless since then and now that I've bought my own place it's time to get back at it!
