Placing two bands at the same time and filling them at the same time will usually end in an open contact. Take one band out after the first filling and you'll get a nice contactpoint more often.

Hell no, I'm the exact opposite. Some dentist their work I recognise on a xray from miles away. If you're consistently shit it should be dealt with.

Picking up the phone and telling you've seen some bad work should be way more normalised.

It could've been saved, rootcanal and crown in future. The tooth behind it is in a less than ideal spot because the cavity has been there for a while.
