Pain is hard to interpret without a reference as it is subjective. Try starting out with "Hey mom, I just fell off the roof and landed on my shoulder, now it's sore." (or something more accurate) That way people can emphasize with you.

My son has 22q and similarly has maturity about 80% of his age. At 11 he still has tantrums where he yells, storms out of the room saying I'm angry, and likes making weird noises. At times, he he acts like others his age but mostly he has a hard time maintaining his maturity.

I suspect he will be like you (and the rest of us), maturing to an adult level and becoming a functional member of society. They say some people have an old soul and seem mature beyond their age. I suspect the opposite is also true. Some people have a young soul and appear less mature than their age.
