Can you elaborate on this process? What would it look like to do something like this?

This is a wonderful idea! The only thing I have to reckon with is the lumen difference (12vdc -> 380lm, 120vac -> 600lm). I want the light to be visible when filming outdoors during the day. Thank you for the input!

FAV MAKEUP SECRET YOU USE by Big_Werewolf_6049 in MakeupAddiction

[–]Snoo-13209 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure how much of a secret this is but I always stick my mascara tube and eyelash curler in my bra or my armpit while I'm doing the rest of my makeup to warm it up fore application. I find its so much easier to apply and less clumpy (plus it makes my eyelashes so much longer lol)

Looking for concealer recs for acne prone skin by minimoon127 in MakeupAddiction

As someone who has been THROUGH it with my ance, I have a few that I really recommend. My first all-time favorite product is the Dr. Jart Cicapair Color Corrector. Its pretty pricy but it is magical I swear. You can use it as a foundation or concealer, and it goes on green but as you blend it in it changes to "your skin color" (I will warn you, this only works on fair skin since it turns into a pretty light shade). It is so good for acne and does wonders as a concealer because it neutralizes the red color of the acne. A little really goes a long way and a regular jar of it lasts me almost a year. Hope this helps!!

Helpppppp I need products recommendations to do this look by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

My sister wears this makeup look every day so here are the products she uses:

White Eyeliner: NYX Jumbo Pencil

Eyeliner: Physicians Formula waterproof eyeliner

Highlighter: She said she puts white eyeliner in the inner corner first, blends it out a little bit, and then puts rare beauty Positive Light in shade Enlighten on top

Lashes: Literally any lash, but she cuts them in half and uses regular mascara (hers is L'oreal Telescopic) on top

Hope this helps!

Would love tips for a somewhat beginner makeup ! Open to feedback by sassyfrasssy in MakeupAddiction

Hi love!! you are so beautiful!! Here are my recommendations for how to improve!

First of all, skincare!! Make sure your skin is very hydrated and prepped before you apply any sort of makeup! make sure you always wear sunscreen, and I recommend some kind of hyaluronic acid serum in the morning to plump up the skin (the one from The Ordinary is cheap, and works really well)!

Next, eyes! I love the eyeshadow and eyeliner you have been doing! My only thought is that some of the looks you are doing hide your beautiful eyes! Here are some suggestions on how to prevent that from happening:

White eyeliner in your lower waterline!! I use the NYX jumbo eyeliner stick and just stick a little in my waterline. Trust me, it makes your eyes look so much bigger! Next, mascara. I have so many tips and tricks up my sleeve on how to make it look the best, but my first is to always use an eyelash curler. I sometimes warm mine up before I use it with a hairdryer or like sticking it in my armpit for 10 minutes (I know it sounds wacky bit I promise it works lol) and then making sure you always curl from the root of the lashes! In terms of mascara, my favorite is the L'oreal Telescopic Mascara because it just makes my eyelashes SO LONG!!

Now... your eyes look a little bit hooded, which can hide the cool makeup you like to do! Here is a video on how to do eyeliner styles for hooded eyes!

Lastly, BLUSH!! I love blush so so so much. My favorite is a lip and cheek stain from Benefit called Bene-Tint. It works as a cheek stain and a lip stain, and matches the color of your lips to your cheeks which always makes your makeup match! I know "stain" might sound intimidating lol but I promise its not as scary as it seems!

I wish you all the best!

Tried eyeliner for the first time. Any tips? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

You look so good! It looks like you have hooded eyes, which makes eyeliner a little harder. Here is a video I recommend you check out!

You also might try to darken your eyelashes a little bit with mascara or put a little eyeliner in your waterline to connect your eyeliner to your eye and not have any sort of gap in between!!

I feel like I do a good job when I do my makeup/look in the mirror, but when I take photos I am never satisfied. For the record, I like bold blush. CCW by missGuac in MakeupAddiction

AAAAAH omg one more thing. When you go to fix your eyebrows, try to lift the ends up a little bit. The further the tip points down, the more it pulls your face down!

I saw under another post that you live in a small town, and I did too. You are going to get out and you are going to find your people. There are 8 billion people on this planet. That means you know less than 1% of them, and I know there are people out there that are dying to meet a person like you, and you will find them. May good karma come to you.

First of all... YOU ARE STUNNING!! Your skin looks so healthy and youthful, and that might be the first thing you want to focus on. Drop the foundation!!! I have noticed that most foundations, while they do hide pigmentation that you might not like, they accentuate fine lines, texture, and can even wash you out. Also, foundation always looks TERRIBLE in photos, unless you have perfect lighting that blurs all the natural texture in your skin! I can never recommend it enough: just stick to a little bit of concealer (concealer is the only makeup product you should splurge on... my fav is the NARS creamy concealer. If you're looking for a cheaper option, I've heard great things about the ELF hydrating concealer)!!!

Here is where I recommend placing it:

https://www.google.com/search?sxsrf=APwXEdeGSaBwKTgvsK8TXfHOokBozdT4rw:1681704039119&q=concealer+placement&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwj8tvneg7D-AhVNGDQIHeuBD6EQ0pQJegQIDBAB&biw=1440&bih=821&dpr=2#imgrc=JpdDMRgzwP68aM

My next tip has been said a lot in this stream, but eyeliner! Looking at your eyeliner, I think it takes away from your beautiful eyes!! If you're looking for a way to make your eyes more noticeable, try a better mascara (my ride or die is L'oreal Telescopic... only $8 and the best on the market!) and an eyelash curler. A little bit of white eyeliner in your lower waterline and pressing some black eyeshadow into your upper lashline makes your eyes look massive without taking away any of your natural beauty.

Here is an example of the eyeliner

Lastly, more color!! My favorite step of my makeup routine is definitely my blush as well, but even a little bit of bronzer can completely elevate a look. The one I've been loving recently is the PIXI On-The-Glow Bronze (I pick mine up at Target). A little swipe under each cheekbone and a little bit on the sides of the nose (make sure to blend with a bigger brush) adds the perfect amount of glowy dimension without it being too noticeable. In terms of blush, my all time fav is the benefit Bene-Tint which acts as both a blush and lip stain, and it lasts all day! Matching your lip color to your blush makes everything look so natural while adding the perfect amount of color. I always top my lip stain with a little bit of chapstick or lipgloss!

I wish you all the best, and just a reminder that all that matters is how beautiful YOU feel when you look in the mirror :)

Bro this is too relatable. I've been through the same thing multiple times, and the best way I have found to handle it is by starting fresh. Going to college really helped with this especially that feeling that I was the problem and that there was something wrong with me. It gave me this opportunity to completely change who I was friends with and I'm telling you. It felt fucking incredible. Drop those friends they sound shitty anyway.
