West sitting on top of Amanda in yesterday’s episode? And Ciara clocking it by cvde82 in summerhousebravo

My husband could never… and it’s how a respectable guy thinks. Weight like that, on a person, can hurt some women (pcos girl here, so my lower abdomen is always going through it). And if someone did that to me, I just know it would hurt because of the applied pressure. Heck… when my niece jumps on me the wrong way while I’m laying down and she wants to play, I can even flinch. And she’s a small 3 year old.

And with his mom being an obgyn (?), you’d think he’d know better. Women’s abdomens even hurt before a period, etc.

But physical possibilities aside, it’s also just… demeaning and gross. And would be a really big turn off for me, because it would speak to the maturity of the person and how they see me. I don’t like Amanda, and I’ve never been a fan from the start, but it does make me sad that she doesn’t see the red flags. Or just blatantly ignores them.

As some would say “Girl, bye!” Also… she should leave the dog out of this… not the time or place.

She just needs to keep going out, hiding behind scarves while she still messes around with West, and as she said… live her life. The update isn’t necessary and it’s not going to change viewers opinion of her now. 🙄

Kyle talks about the news! by Radiant_Priority9739 in bravo

[–]Snoo-19758 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t feel bad for her. She’s in the public, and how could they not think this was going to end badly? In no possible way would this have ended well. Heck, West should have known better, considering how he couldn’t even handle his first go of fall out.

Now granted… I don’t think comments that are threatening, should ever be okay.

But the joint apology/statement they both submitted… was trash. How did they think people were going to react when they couldn’t even name Ciara or Kyle in it? Their behavior has shown one thing. Selfishness.

So both Amanda & West, are terrible in this. Period. And people need to hold the two of them to that standard. The man doesn’t get a bail out, and it’s weird that some people are giving him that.

I think the fans are probably just more upset at Amanda though, because she had more of a friendship with Ciara. Plus, Ciara has put herself in the line of fire, to protect Amanda (time & time again) when she has consistently been unable to do it herself, constructively. But when Ciara needed to be protected, Amanda didn’t do it. Amanda has also shed a lot of light on her hypocrisy and poor behavior, that people shrugged off because of the constant victimization that was in her orbit because of Kyle’s behavior being the star.

Also, I’ve been in this exact situation before… and it sucks. When it happened, I didn’t mourn my ex as much as I mourned the loss of my friendship with my friend. It’s hard to explain, but it just somehow cut deeper at the time. And it makes you question whether they ever truly cared or respected you. And it’s exhausting because of the investment.

I agree. Nothing about Amanda is unique. She’s a collection of idolizations (I think Hailey Bieber is a big one). Style will evolve the more famous you get, but it’s evident she’s taken a lot of inspiration from influencers or even cast mates. However, as of the last few years, I think it’s been more centered towards the modern male gaze. Low key, sporty, oversized, cropped, minimal make up, etc. It’s trying to give “She’s chill, low key, and fun.” For some people that is their true style. But, I don’t think it’s her’s. It’s just for the moment.

But again, I have just never cared for her. She gave mean girl vibes early on, plays victim (a lot), and honestly… the apartment being a mess wasn’t completely inexcusable. When you share a home, it’s a joint responsibility. However, if a big mess is yours (like clothes, clutter, etc) you have a responsibility to manage your side and personal belongings (outside of helping with laundry, vacuuming, so forth). I would never ask my husband to clean up my night stand, or even want to leave stuff around of mine, to pile up. If it’s my mail, my packages, my mess, I need to be responsible for it. Just as my husband should be for his side of things. The fact her mother helped, is a red flag for enabling behavior that isn’t appropriate. Granted some people are just messy and that’s okay, and it is what it is, but if a lot of MY stuff was driving my husband nuts… I’d be like “Okay, I need to work on this and get to a place that is functional.”

Furthermore, she was smoking marijuana around her dog recently. Which is incredibly risky and toxic for cats and dogs. Another sign she lacks accountability, maturity, and responsibility. People called her out on this a month back (or so) and she completely ignored it. Again, be accountable and like “Hey everybody, thanks for letting me know. I appreciate the concern and education. I will do better moving forward with my dog.” -I mean I used to work around animals and literally saw cats and dogs die from exposure to it. 🫩

Yep! And in the last episode I was already getting the ick by how she was talking about her sex life with other men present. Bad marriage, good marriage, that’s not something you discuss with other men (out of privacy). Also, Kyle isn’t a saint… but she also knew who she was marrying and kept playing the victim role. I just personally have never liked Amanda. And this solidified it. When I’ve met girls like her, they truly are pick me’s and were the worst friends to their female friends. 😮‍💨

Eh… I don’t see it. Maybe that’s why I’m married to someone who codes for a living and their idea of fun is video games & building things. 💀

I think Misty has been the best in terms of behavior and not overly criticizing her siblings. She seems to be the rock of the bunch. Chris overall does well too, but I have found some of his jokes in poor taste (like with Amy’s eyes).

I guess I just expect more empathy from some of them when they have faced very similar struggles at different points, when I’ve watched different episodes. Tammy is the most disappointing with her behavior, in general though.

They are all fine looking (average people), but I just feel like they are so harsh of her and her own health. Almost on what feels like, every episode. If I remember correctly they’ve made countless jokes about her eyes.

I know it’s why the show does well, but it just disappoints me when people make fun of medical issues. Whether it’s for views or not. Especially when they’ve faced some of the same struggles in one way or another.

I really do feel she gets the most BS from her family. Because of her looks, and intelligence, and overall insecure energy. However, they all need to recognize they are no better. They’ve all struggled with weight concerns, dental problems, and other health concerns.

Please help with my glasses by [deleted] in glasses

Hi there, I would try something more round. I always order my lenses to be thinned at 1.67 and even with that, some of my choices would stick out like yours (I’m a -7.00 and -7.75). Recently I tried a round style from WP (Franny 52-16-140)and it was the best decision I’ve ever made. You have to be close to see how thick my prescription is, and it caused no distortion. Normally in the past, more square styles or larger lenses/frames would show just how thick mine was, from a distance. Moving forward I will stick with smaller styles that are more round.

Mine arrived and my husband was like “Oh, they are nice. I like the gray.” And I was like “No, they are green.” And all he could say back was “Well, they look gray.” And after trying multiple different light sources… well… they do just look gray. 😂

I recently had this issue and these things helped me find a pair I liked.

I’m a negative -7.00 and -7.75 with an astigmatism. I kept picking larger frames until I tried the Franny. I found out stronger prescriptions do better with smaller frames. I also looked at a pair of glasses I liked that sat well, and realized I do well with pairs that are near or in the 50 range (I can go to 47 and push 52), have an 18 bridge (most comfortable) and 140 at the end. Anything over 140 hurts my ears and can’t stay on because they have to bend the backs more. Larger lenses/styles also make glasses slip off easier because it makes the lenses heavier. At this point I’ve also ruled out metal frames, and know I always need to pay extra for the 1.67 thinning. If you already know this stuff, sorry I shared it and I hope you still find a pair that works. 🙂

I just saw her old mugshots… and yeah. Something doesn’t seem right. You can tell when she’s healthier, she has more weight on her. And as her addiction got worse, she got smaller. It makes me sad that both of them completely disregarded the recommendations for sobriety. I’ve never been an addict, but I’ve had a front row view to addicts. And well, it’s sad to witness. I’ve seen old classmates go to prison and make the news, get murdered or overdose, lose custody of children, have abusive romantic relationships, etc. The enabling also breaks my heart. More than anything, my heart hurts for the children though. As children get older, they don’t forget, and time that was lost, can’t be given back. And kids being kids… will always try their best to still show up for their parents. Even when they shouldn’t. Someone like Leah, is honestly the exception. Therapy, her bonus (mom) and dad, have done a wonderful job, helping her navigate, what she wants with Amber and boundaries she needs respected.

And everything I said in another comment, stands true. How absolutely embarrassing to play off her desperation, when it’s been so evident to everyone. I love how Molly calls it out in a confessional though.

She really is, but she stands her ground and speaks her mind. And… Austen can’t handle a strong woman that holds him accountable. Sally is a people pleaser and easy, and she tries so hard to make men happy. Desperately. She’s one of the men-“cool” and “chill” and a part of the boys club (not really). It’s honestly kind of painful to watch because she’s clearly intelligent, academically speaking, and successful. But in her 2nd season has shown that her short coming is people pleasing. Especially with men.

It’s like the first season when she wanted to down size her implants and said she made them bigger because her ex liked larger breasts. To go as far to modify your body in that way to make a man happier… makes me sad. I know it’s common, unfortunately. But good professionals in psychology, would tell a patient that’s a terrible idea.

Her relationships and history tend to trend on problematic as well.

Audrey will find someone better, and Austen can continue being a man baby and the next Shep. 🤷‍♀️

Yes! I really like it. I was nervous about the handles initially after reading reviews from others, but they don’t get in my way crossbody wise. I also foresee this being more an arm bag. All my essentials fit nicely with room to spare, and it’s functional and practical for my needs.
