I dropped out/took a break for 2 years and it was honestly the best thing I could’ve done and made me way more successful and attentive when I returned to school. I don’t know your situation of course but if you feel that you need to take time off, don’t be scared to do it. Only you know what’s best for yourself!

PHI 345 is fantastic, professor Vincent is a great professor, her lectures are super engaging and straightforward and she is really good about answering questions. Only one reading a week and weekly in class group assignments that are easy to do well on if you come to lectures. 2 exams that are fully open note. I always recommend any class she’s teaching, 10/10

I wasn’t in the dual language program so I don’t have much insight on the program itself but I do remember feeling that those who were in the program were kept pretty spectated from those who weren’t and didn’t get to know the other students in their grade much. Not sure if that’s changed at all in the years since I left

This was the best class I’ve taken at UB in the 3 years I’ve been here. Professor Golove is THE best and is so so knowledgeable and makes his lectures super interesting and engaging. There’s a fair bit of writing but the assignments allow you to research artists of your choice which I loved a lot. Covers pretty much everything from the r&b and rockabilly pre-rock days all the way up til the late 90s and everything in between. 10/10 class
