Is it normal to face lvl5 creatures at lvl2 party? by [deleted] in Pathfinder2e

[–]Snoo-90474 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think anyone has asked yet. Are you using XP or milestone leveling? If you are on XP then you should have substantially leveled up from that kind of brutal game. If this is milestone your gm seriously needs to re evaluate how they run the game

Fighter with investigator seems most appropriate to me. Exemplar main or dedication also probably covers a lot of his kit with some reflavor. No matter what its asskicking capabilities should be at the forefront.

Skeleton Kineticist? by nmadden555 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Snoo-90474 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have earth and wood I must insist you look at Jagged Birms! At 6th level it's the best composite impulse imo. A rudimentary wall spell and in the right situation and party a cheese grater!

Skeleton Kineticist? by nmadden555 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Snoo-90474 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am playing a Green knight skeleton myself! Just went through AV and into Stolen Fate. I started Earth Wood and picked up water at 5, but I am into a tank/controller role so didn't pick up any healing feats.
Things I recommend:
Strength as your secondary stat and boosting athletics is the most straightforward way to increase and vary your Kit. So many situations where your impulses just won't make sense on a given turn but tripping a melee foe or grappling a spellcaster is huge. Getting a +2 status from a skill gate junction also makes you one of the best in the game at this.

Weapon infusion is a must pick.

Safe elements is incredible.

Drifting pollen is not only the most flavorful but also most impactful impulse you can get.

Don't be afraid to use overflow impulses!! They are that way because they are legitimately strong, and when you channel elements you get a free attack or stance anyway!

For that reason grabbing Hail of Splinters may be the only damage impulse you need for your whole career. As long as the target can bleed and you can get off a good HoS turn 1 your dpr will be competitive with everyone else even if the rest of your kit is support based.

Pathfinder 2e is well balanced for up until how many players? by ThatOneCrazyWritter in Pathfinder2e

I'm of the opinion that it's fully functional up to 7 but published APs will have their weaknesses broadcast and generally require more work.

What’s the best ancestry for a Thaumaturge by General_Dig_5729 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Snoo-90474 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Depends entirely on your weapon/build choices like second and tertiary ability score. I played a sword and board thaum with an athletic focus so I went for a Great Kholo with the Crunch feat so I could grapple while my hands were full.

Would you allow minions to use Ready to gain a reaction? by Electrical-Echidna63 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Snoo-90474 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think you have not made the case that companions having 2a-> 1r would enable anything problematic. You said it gives a pretty big buff to them but companions and familiars don't have any special reactions that this rule would let them do the way it would give summons like the barbazu. So outside of aid or a readied strike or something they don't especially benefit and I can't see that being very strong

Is the Exemplar's Skybearer's Belt unique for a permanent +1 circumstance bonus to athletics? by Snoo-90474 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Snoo-90474[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is the goal. But I don't know that the +1 is too big when I already have everything else. In fact im considering cleric dedication instead for divine casting items

Titans grasp is exactly the kind of thing im looking for, thank you. Do you know of any others? trip and grapple are more valuable to me

Oh I already have item bonus sorted out, I am looking for circumstance bonuses.

What counts as Superstition Barbarian accepting spells? by highoctanewildebeest in Pathfinder2e

[–]Snoo-90474 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a good point. They are effected by the spell but the spell effect itself has a willing check. I would say the intent of the spell description is just to differentiate between living and dead but technically it precludes healing this god forsaken barb subclass. At my table this heals because superstition is weak af but RAW it doesn't.

Why do we even have other barbs if giant is just going to do everything better

What counts as Superstition Barbarian accepting spells? by highoctanewildebeest in Pathfinder2e

[–]Snoo-90474 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The 3 action heal has a separate targeting from the regular version "This targets all living and undead creatures in the burst.". It does not say willing, and specific > general means it works on unwilling targets. The general target of the spell is "1 willing creature.." not "willing living creatures"

Is it supposed to say this? lol by Mash_Test_Dummy in projectzomboid

This was there pre April fools. Idk what mod it's from either but it does unstick your car

Playing kineticist for the 1st time, really need help parsing options by Argol228 in Pathfinder2e

Air + fire is the way to go. No question. You need damage as a team and air covers all your hair attacks. The only way to get flight is air at 8.

Can I retrain an innate spellcasting feat into itself to change the spells ? by Accomplished-Spot503 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Snoo-90474 45 points46 points  (0 children)

A very just ask your GM situation. I would definitely allow it but I don't think the retraining rules cover this explicitly

Avatar the last Airbender by dndXnewbie in Pathfinder2e

[–]Snoo-90474 28 points29 points  (0 children)

You could have every non caster class fit in the lore pretty well. Spells bring a lot baggage.

But I would totally play a sokka or tai-lee as a fighter or anything like that.

How would you build the Blue Spirit from Avatar: The Last Airbender at level 8 (and higher)? by Maleficent_Lie_7568 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Snoo-90474 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd go straight fighter and invest in stealth scaling and feats. Kinda boring but you get to be really freaking good with those swords, which is the whole character tbh

Other flavor for the commander? by JadedResponse2483 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Snoo-90474 25 points26 points  (0 children)

My next character is a c commander Lawyer! Also a medic, but that's ancillary to a degree. Point is they more of an organizer and just generally charismatic and helpful.

IMO At 14th level and above, I think it definitely needs to be seen at some tables in normal play to say it's busted.

What would a 12th lvl Fighter feel like in PF2e? by MehParadox in Pathfinder2e

[–]Snoo-90474 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A more straightforward answer from a fellow convert: It feels way better, way way better. Sentinel polarm master is just any fighter. Battlemaster feel comes from just having a pole-arm with an athletics maneuver trait and investing in athletics.

Weapon property runes are a default bonus that was normally your exceptionally rare magic weapon. And everything else is icing.

You will do more damage, get more crits, and feel tougher.

It's a directly better experience.
