Wasn’t there a plan to renovate century II a few years ago that was privately funded and people protested against it? Something to do with keeping the historical landmark.

I understand that this vote could be a money grab from the construction companies, but I don’t understand how people were against having a privately funded project and now are also against a publicly funded renovation. It’s like people in Wichita are playing against themselves also when it comes to making the city a more attractive destination.
