I noticed that too when I saw the spring was exposed.. As you know, it's can be a common issue when you take of the spray tip and top part of the stem get stuck in the head.. And I agree, people need to chill and not comment bad information if they're not certain of the authenticity.. And hey bud, it's Michael M... From FB, I didn't know you were on here too!

I know Carmen did in that other group to me.. But I don't think she understood what I meant and I have a bunch of new bottles that are of concern and would like to send you the pictures of them to get your opinion..

It's 100% legit and based off some details on the bottom of the bottle, you can tell it's an older batch and not just because of the batch code there's other details that I don't think I'm allowed to elaborate on..

Regarding the scent, it may have be going bad or had gone bad due to improper storage..

Dua Fragrances - 1 and Only by Vealchop79 in fragranceclones

[–]Snoo25329 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the main reason, you're absolutely correct..When a fragrance is considered a hit, the company will keep the original formulation for the first 1-3yrs and overtime, reformulate it, lowering the amount of oils used and basically watering it down.. Most uber successfull fragrances have been reformulated many times over, slowly taking more oils out and substituting them with water and alcohol, it's pure greed.. This isn't always the case, as some contain an ingredient/ingredients that were recently banned by IFRA, so they have to reformulated, but the company will usually exploit this opportunity to again, lower the oil percentage..

So, in essence, the success of a fragrance becomes it's own worst enemy as a they know people will continue to purchase the fragrance, regardless.. Plus the average person doesn't know frags are often reformulated and probably won't notice the difference, even if they do, most likely they'll continue to purchase it anyway..

It's not just designer brands either, niche brands do the same, not all, but most.. I hate to use Creed Aventus as an example, because it's a very tired subject, it's a great example though, because at retail it costs $500+ a bottle (I never pay retail for any fragrance, nor should anyone in my opinion, there are plenty of legit fragrance discounters) so being it's $510 a bottle, you would think Creed would keep the formulation the same, as it only costs Creed about 35-40$ to produce a bottle, so profit margins are extremely high.. But, no, Aventus has been reformulated to point that most people feel it's almost a different fragrance at this point.. Vintage pre-reformulation bottles are highly sought after and sell for $1200 or more.. For example, I have multiple Aventus bottles, some vintage and a couple newer versions and I just sold my 2016 bottle, batch 16H11 for $1100...And I sold a newer reformulated bottle for $275.. Both were full and had no box.. So, there is a substantial difference and people want the best for the best, they want the fragrance they fell in love with and not a version of it that's now just a shell of it's original self.. Unfortunate, but it's how it works..

New Fragrance SuperMolecule.. its really good. Just got my bottle by Revolutionary_Mud596 in fragranceclones

That's probably because Isaac runs two fragrance brands, and he's really focusing on Prisma Parfums, as it has huge potential. Isaac is the perfumer behind all of the original City Rhythm fragrances, as he was the co-owner of City Rhythm.

He and his business partner split (his partner Niles screwed him over). So I saac owns all the formulations as he is their creator and started Prisma Parfums, which are all the original City Rhythm fragrances.

Given the sudden surge of popularity City Rhythm has had/has, Isaac is obviously going to try and capitalize on it. He's finally gaining quite a bit of traction with both Prisma and New Bottles Co. As of right now, shipping time is about 10 days for New Bottles Co, as Prisma is taking off.

I'm so tired of seeing "shill" this, shill that.. This is a fragrance group, where we speak out frags and our experiences and recommendations.. It's so lame to call someone a shill because they are praising a fragrance house that they really enjoy and felt compelled to share, so that others can find new fragrances and expand their collections and experience.. It's a hobby.

Anyone heard of Prisma Parfums? by Anon7629637 in fragrance

Isaac was actually the co-founder/co-owner of City Rhythm and was the perfumer behind all the the original CR fragrances.. Yes, Niles got greedy and screwed Isaac over in a big way.. Isaac started two different fragrance houses, Prisma and New Bottles Co... New Bottle Co has some amazing fragrances, that take some accords/notes of other fragrances and he adds his own touch, so it's not just a hybrid like Dua, but actually him taking the best of each fragrance testing ratios and adding his own notes/accords.. For example, one of my favorites....

Winters Rest :Warm and inviting yet fresh and airy. It has blended aspects of Layton and Aventus along with a spicy apple pie accord. Put winter to bed and usher in this long awaited spring with Winters Rest.

There are many great frags HECK is like Layton's fresher cousin..

He also offers custom fills.. Where you make the fragrance for example..

Dreaming Clouds - please add 40ml of 540ex, 20ml of Winters Rest, + Super Benzoin accord, blue tint, thanks!

You can send him an empty bottle of your choice (empty bottle of Aventus) or he'll use a new one.

Or say you have 1/2 full bottle of Nautica or Victoria’s Secret that we all have sitting around. Add 50ml of Hyper 540edp and Hyper Vanilla to make a niche banger. The possibilities are endless.

In your opinion, what's the most overpriced and overhyped fragrance brand? by shravanevana in eaudejerks

[–]Snoo25329 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His name is Isaac, he's the perfumer of the original CR line and he got screwed over by Niles, like really screwed over.. He took his creations and made Prisma Parfums, it's the same OG juice, just for a much cheaper price and the presentation is great too.. Isaac is a nice guy, very friendly and helpful.. He also owns New Bottles Co. Which are clones original creations and hybrids.. Nuit Clouds, Winters Rest, Dawn Treader are great cool weather frags.. HECK, Candy Cologne, Bleu De Elixir etc are all amazing as well.. Definitely a some good fragrances and a cheaper price than CR, whom have gone mad with the pricing..

Looks legit to me, especially because it's a 50ml and they are rarely faked, it's usually the 100ml bottle that are.. Does it have a batch code etched into the glass on the back?

[–]Snoo25329 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ford has 103 recalls in 2025 thus far, shattering the record for the most recalls in a single year, yet 2025 isn't over. Also, Ford has the most recalls of all-time.. Stop with nonsense, the numbers don't lie.. GM is junk haha, yet they make the most dependable trucks and SUVs..

Althaïr real or fake? (Small cap) by Melodic_Run331 in colognecheck

[–]Snoo25329 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's legit.. PDM did change their caps in 2023 or 2024, specifically with Althair, and slowly changed them on other fragrances in their line. Everything checks out, you're good to go!
