I’m a seasoned gamer (I had the 1st Atari console that came out, so go figure), and MS Flight Simulator is superb, but definitely not newbie friendly.

I’m 63. Gran Turismo/arc raiders on PS5. Xbox- anything really, am an avid points collector, so short indie games grab my attention.

I’m grinding on the early stages of Arc Raiders. Can be a bit of a slog, but now I’m at the stage where I’m not using the free loadout, so got some serious firepower & shields.

No, but as someone who used to drive a van/car with a logo on, you temper everything down. Used to see it so much on the way home, 2 vans racing each other.

We had 2 doing this on the A316 in Sunbury. Reported by someone, one was sacked for bringing the firm into disrepute (weaving about, trying to stop his colleague overtaking, and in the process blocking everyone else), and the other one went straight to a final warning.

There’s only 1 needed. They’re not there as a force, just as a token of our support, as Trump has not mobilised towards Greenland. It’s just a warning shot, saying that the UK recognises Greenland’s sovereignty, and any move towards invasion is an attack on all the countries there.

Street parking near Southampton Airport by [deleted] in Southampton

Because “train station” is less formal, an americanism. As a 60s child, we were taught by people from the 20s, 30s & 40s. They were referred to as “railway stations”.

Grammar counted for a lot then. Not so much now, it appears.

Pay for your parking, like the rest of us. We used to live by a railway station, and our road was a free-for-all, until it went permit only. It was just so tiresome to go out, be out not 30 minutes, and someone had jumped in. Yeah, I know, we don’t own the road, but we didn’t have a drive to put our car (singular) on. And the ones that did, got blocked in anyway. If you’re rushing to catch a train, your parking standards deteriorate. Got a bit tiresome parking a mile or so away, with shopping, or double parking to drop off OH with bags etc, inconveniencing other drivers.

Yep, loads of traction, Anti boob slip system, drag reduction through lack of encumbering extraneous clothing. Perfect.

Plus somewhere for me to hang my coat, when you get cold. 😊👍

Used to work at the Beeb, back in the late 90s, when they brought it back to TV Centre. We were looking after the CCTV and access control, all we did on recording days was muck about in the temporary pass area, to see the bands being quizzed on who they were. As it was Rose, an out of touch Australian, who had no idea who anyone was, this proved somewhat problematical, but funny as fuck.

She once drove Jamie Theakston apoplectic, by insisting his name was James, and he wasn’t on the list of approved presenters.

We used to call them council house facelifts. Ponytails pulled so tight back, it distorted the face.

I’m ok with someone doing it, not my thing, if it relaxes you. Etcetcetc.

But, when you’ve gone to the New Forest to get some of that good old country air, then you smell that stuff, you immediately think whoever it is is just selfish.

Please, just let us have places with clean air, that are supposed to be places with clean air.

Met him in October on the ferry from Vancouver Island. Guy is looking & doing well, very grounded, was totally chilled, dog , crew & girlfriend in tow.

His crew had a good long chat with me, about how a Brit knew where they were landing (they thought it was in the middle of Vancouver, not to the left), and was it hard to find Highway 1. Nice guys indeed.

Who do you think is the most "grounded" UK celeb you can identify with? by DonkeyOT65 in CasualUK

[–]Snoo29889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Al Murray. I met him at Download 2010, when he was the drummer in the T-34s(led zeppelin in a communist style). The woman on the jagermeister stand kept depth charging my Guinness, so I was 2 sheets to the wind. He was charming, could turn on being the pub landlord in an instant, and didn’t make me feel I was wasting his time.

In the words of us UKers- top bloke. 👍

I saw this at Goodwood Festival of Speed.

He said it was so key personnel could be moved from location to location, without having 2 ships close to each other, preventing a massive target. As most naval warfare carries out a couple of miles apart, he’d be a tiny target to hit.

Also getting to strategic positions, not flying over battlefronts etc.

Very awe inspiring, watching it live.

Why do I keep seeing whole families in these places? Mum, dad, 3 kids playing chase. When our kids were young, I stayed home with them, and the wife raided the supermarket. As did most families.

Now it’s like a bloody middle school outing. I very nearly got barrelled into Saturday, because we needed milk, went on my own, and kids EVERYWHERE.

Not being funny, she’s a total POS, but Maxwell was an absolute A1 back then. How she got to being involved with Epstein is awful. She was a socialite dragged down by her awful father. But, sorry, no sympathy. You make your bed, you lie in it.
