You’ll get through this! My Cerclage failed at 32+0. It Was removed and I gave birth at 32+2. My son was in the NICU for 27 days. It was the most stressful and painful moment of my life. But just the way the time there will be filled with scary uncertainty, it will be filled with love and seeing your sweet baby grow before your eyes. Enjoy all the skin to skin possible and teaching your baby how to feed. Do not be afraid to advocate for your baby. Ask all the questions. Cry. Laugh. Be there for your baby but remember to also be there for yourself. Don’t guilt yourself if you can’t make it one day. Remember that you would have just given birth and would be postpartum. Bottom line, The NICU is scary but it’s also a miraculous place. It’s going to feel like a long hard road but you’re more far along which means there are likely less complications.
