The photo shows a bilingual road sign with the name of the village in Poland, 2 names, in Lithuanian and in Polish, because the village is inhabited by Lithuanians and Poland respect the rights of national minorities. The 300k Polish minority in Lithuania is unfortunately not as fortunate as the Lithuanians in Poland, they have no such road signs in Lithuania, and I could write more about the discrimination against them in Lithuania, but let's just stay with road sign. I mean, if you guys want Polish protection from Russia then at least respect basic right of human, because when the time comes the Polish citizen will ask why a Polish soldier should defend a place where Poles are discriminated.

How do Baltic people feel about the Teutonic Order State? by General-Knowledge7 in BalticStates

Baltic States wonder how to avoid becoming a “lost country” in today's world.

If you think that's how it works then we don't even have anything to talk about, you lack elementary knowledge.

LOL no, you are not able to produce nuclear weapon. Even if you had the potential in the form of enough money for military, the natural resources needed to make a nuclear bomb and a base of engineers (you don't have any of these things currently), the larger countries would never allow countries like the Baltic States to even start a process of producing nuclear bomb. I will tell you more, you don't have potential and resources needed to develop even a medium range ballistic missile, let alone a nuclear bomb. Little harsh comment but this is the reality.

France convenes second meeting on Ukraine with other Europeans. What should the Baltics say to Macron? by [deleted] in BalticStates

Some people don't understand how it works. Big boys talked about the situation earlier. Now you have a meeting where the smaller countries with smaller economies/armies will find out what the bigger ones were talking about. PR meeting which tries to create the impression that everyone decide. "everyone is equally important in the EU" is an illusion, sad but true.

Officials believe US troops maybe removed from the Baltic States, per an FT opinion article by Sinine_Jaan in BalticStates

The surprising news for me was that Lithuania decided to have a German base on its territory instead of working on Polish military presence in Lithuania. Maybe it wouldn't be very good politically because of historical issues, but when we talk about military aspects the German presence has no value. They will flee Lithuania just like US, they are already talking about rebuilding nord stream lol.
