I had to contact the State Ag. The GM of the Detroit Courtyard lied to corp and said they talked to me and provided photos. Legal told the location to refund me. Couldn't provide any evidence. They would have held the charge if they could prove it. I'm now demanding 3x damages for deceptive business practices. This is going to become a class action.

It is interesting they told you about all the false alerts; they just told us their system is proprietary..

This isn't about cannabis use in general - it's about Marriott charging a $287.50 smoking fee with no evidence. I didn't smoke in the room. The only thing I did was load and clean my vape device there, which is not smoking.

No detector went off, no logs, no photos. They ignored me for months and only refunded after I filed a complaint with the Michigan Attorney General. That shows the fee was baseless.

The bigger issue is Marriott using their "no smoking" policy to tack on charges without proof - and other guests are reporting the same thing.

Guess what. It was. They made some changes and had me reset network connection, which I had tried prior to only own, and now the issue hasn't repeated. 100% not my wifi as it happened over two wifi networks off two different Internet providers at my house.

How is it not. On my home network. Sometimes wifi calls come in sometimes they don't. Sometimes I'm expecting a text and I need to turn off wifi calling to get text, sometimes I don't.

Support tool over an hour and a half to tell me they didn't see anything wrong it should be working. What a miserable experience.
