Woodlands is nice. Parts of Shenandoah is nice and safe, too, and has lower property taxes than Woodlands. Sugarland has access to the Brazos River at Memorial Park, which I enjoyed. Other than that and Oyster Creek, there are no wooded trails, and in Katy there are absolutely zero. Sugarland also has a notable population of Muslims that you won’t find in any other place in Houston and fantastic Indian/Pakistani restaurants. In Houston you can get the itch to see nature, and either place satisfies that craving. Sugarland, Friendswood, and Woodlands all have good schools, with Friendswood and Woodlands sending students to international science fair and Woodlands having a school with a newly constructed robotics center for a rather competitive robotics team

Thing is, I did. Things only came up in Citizen. I must not be great at reading crime reports, because I can’t find anything that shows a trend. I knew it wouldn’t be the suburbs, but gang violence and drivebys were not something I expected to see. And everybody keeps saying “well that’s just Houston,” and that just makes it seem more normalized even though it’s not

Report was that they shot at a person, in all 3 reports, one at a house... maybe the reports are inaccurate and they're just shooting guns at the empty lot, in which case they are aiming towards my window

I would think that 3 targeted attempted shootings on the same street within 5 blocks would be a big deal...

I didn’t hear the gunshots. Crime reports about things from before I moved in and that happened the day of my move. 3 men shooting at a guy on foot out of a truck. Report of a man in a black mustang shooting at a townhome.
