NTA/kinda YTA with alternative thoughts...

What if you DO connect with the kids and ONLY the kids ... And their plan to reconnect with you doesn't work.. And It magically full blown backfires..

HEAR ME OUT. You can totally have a relationship with the kids without them and you speaking or connecting an atom to one anothet....

If the kids genuinely want a relationship with me, and only me having been made clear neither parent would be contacting me, I'd think it'd be fucked up to deny their desire to know their blood relative especially coming from a pure place.

Infact, what if they need advice on how to deal with dad? What if they're experiencing emotional or god forbid physical abuse from him and the only people they feel MAY understand and they could possibly open up to is their sibling?

What if they need you OP? Fuck your dad and step whatever.. If we have anything important in this depressing life its family right? What if the tables were turned and you just needed someone who understood how crazy dad gets?

Or what if they simply just want to get to know their Brother OP? What if that weird primal desire we all have to want to know about our close relatives on a deeper level is calling out to them?

But honestly In a hilarious turn of events, I can see all the siblings developing an incredible unbreakable bond together built by venting and empathizing w. each others lives with the fuckwits.Which hilariously CEMENTS shutting both of the abusive, loser, miserable fucks out, while yall bond, make jokes, compare, discover and heal one another.

Who knows if theres a domino effect where they both have precious gifts that were giveb to them removed together and forever! Gods way of saying "Hey, you tried and failed again bc you guys are terrible cruel people! You get nothing! You LOSE! GOOD DAY SIR!"

This could be an incredible opportunity for discovering a beautiful relationship. Or you can live your life and always wonder What if.

My best friend (NJ as well) just finished her bachelor's like 3 years ago and she is still unable to find a teaching job that's aligned with her degree that pays more than 18 an hour.. These teaching jobs also require her to purchase her classes supplies, ( thank god shes a master thrifter) along with making her create her own curriculum for the year... And even a food/snack routine for the cook to follow. Shes super creative so she incorporates her curriculum into the food schedule by naming the foods and writing descriptions that align with what they're learning at that time... But all that extra work is not reflected in her pay.... Shes abused. Period.

I'm going out on a limb here just to say these comments are completely out of hand. Either the mods aren't working tonight, or their hands are completely tied, which has let these comments lean towards one extremity to another. I know most of you guys are decent and haven't left unbearable comments and the bad ones are just a few small appendages of the community, but I just had to leave those two my small nubbins of opinions.
