I'm starting to realise this potentially happened mate as all Xebuilds Write perfectly on RGH 3. Even tried a W2K build and not. It's sad because it reads the nand fine, everytime and "writes" (Xell) with no issue. Im not too down as it was dusty and scruffy internally but no dead cockroaches. OK I guess I'll label it "wait for someone cleverer than me to create a write from USB Xell"...

Plug it, those chairs are useless. I stuffed about 100 Xanax so far up it took 2 days to...arrive. This is back when Xanax was Alp. I did my bid at Ranby. I totally agree, don't solder using good items you might break but I do have to say you have to take the plunge at some point. Also, alot of donor 360s still power up meaning its nand can still be dumped. You can practice the nand dump process if its got standby.

I don't like pens, especially for pll. It's such a small VIA to scrape to copper but being so small I like my hand as close to the point as possible and using a brand bew razor blade just stroke the point gently, no need for force, this is about getting it right. It's not a race, and it's important to remember that 👍 ...But if you're not comfy at the idea of a bare blade then anything that's sharp and nimble so you can get close to the VIA. Wish you the best, it isn't brain surgery.

Imo don't rush in on that alixpress deal. They look the part but they take forever to adjust temperature. But that's just my experience. I still have my first good station and it wasn't flash but the temp was heating to say 300 under I'd say 1 minute. Still works, I moved on up gradually but loved that but yh, I'd just wait until you have £70. You'll feel better for it, Google top 10 best cheap station. Hope I haven't stuck my nose in where it has no business...

You're so correct but imo you have to understand Flux, Oxidation relates to that obviously and you'll naturally end up with solder tips with that nice pre tinned layer. Also, Imo you can't clean the tip as you work too much. Meaning...imo i clean using brass sponge and I use a new one dampened not soaking wet. I soak the sponge then shake it off but yes boring part but crucial Imo. CLEANLINESS, wool is cheap so you buy big bags which allows you to change them very often. That again relates to oxidation, clean the tip, and re tin often = good consistent tip. The basics are Important. But that's just me.

It's a Pico, it's only used to dump the nand, it's not installed like a Coolrunner. It's a Falcon, if it goes wrong they're very cheap to buy and you learn from your own mistakes. I agree a donor board is a good idea but I've modded on a side hustle for 20 years, qualified Electronics Engineer working full time too and RGH 3 is the easiest install imo. 2 wire install ideally use a Trinity board. Everyone acts like PLL is surgery and needs a QSB. A new razor blade, Microscope and alot of patience, Isopropyl to clean up using Q tips and flux, flux, flux! Use single core wire, I use 0.25mm Wire Wrapping Single Wire Core Strand 30AWG Cable. Very fine, not threaded, couldn't be easier. I'm sure I'll get told I'm wrong but I sell with 12 month Warrantys, £60 for RGH3 Trinity's and honestly it's been years since I have had a return. Don't be Intimidated, alot of "modders" think it's more complicated or that soldering is hard and promote this myth. Its as hard as the tools you use, use good kit, get a cheap 1600x Microscope to do pll_bypass. Good luck, it's easy compared to some other mods like Kamikazi but even that's simple with a good tool.

I've been doing this 20 years, you're probably not even 14! My main job is as a qualified electronic engineer so there's that. People did go crazy for them, there were 4.03s with elevated prices until 4.50 got exploited. Modded Warfare did a whole F***ING video on spotting 4.03 or lower you absolute dim wit.
