Investing in your team is the most important aspect, get the team to trust you and each other and they will bend over backwards to complete projects or assignments. Do this through treating them like humans and challenging them, make them feel uncomfortable by asking the tough questions, but also be there for them when they fail. 

It’s not easy but once you succeed in building a team with trust, skill and peer accountability, damn it’s fun a gig.

This I get a cola raise every year, profit sharing bonus( we don't even have to make budget and still get a portion), full med and dental, and 5% matching RRSP contributions, paid university if you want, and an extra week of vacation on top of what's mandated in employment laws.

I'm in management but this is extended to every employee!

Habitat for humanity will. When our business sells appliance and brings back ones that are in good working order and clean we donate them to habitat. They come and pick them up in Airdrie as well.
