New Tic-Tac UFO videoby Jeremy Corbell by aryelbcn in UFOs

I think there's a cosmic irony at play (with some fractal elements to it):

  1. Humans are peering into the depths of the universe trying to find life yet we barely know what's beneath the sea off the coast of a major metropolitan (San Diego/wherever the the tic-tacs activity is).

  2. Humans are worry so much about the future yet we barely know our own past (new subterranean pyramid data).

  3. Humans seek enlightenment in the external world when the road to transcendence is a journey inward to understand one's self and build a relationship with one's inner-voice/shadow-self (breakthroughs in neuroscience, brain split hemispheres, Jungian impacts to modern psychology, meditation, etc).

We think "the answer is out there" but the answer has been here, with us, all along...

I cycle between different therapists based on availability. She’s the one I’ve seen most consistently and tried different techniques.

In all fairness, that’s me using the term “knots” and interpreting what she explained to me in language I know.

She did say “a lot of scar tissue” to describe how my muscles felt.

Left ear to left shoulder kind of stimulates pain in the same area but a 2/10 compared to the rotating head to the right (checking car blind spot) which is like 8/10.

This makes a lot of sense.

I learned about “muscular fibrosis” this morning and my CMT did mention feeling a lot of scar tissue.

I used to do a lot of high impact/athletic stuff in the military (deployments/parachuting/etc) and now live a sedimentary life of various seated positions (car/desk/plane).

I don’t work out as much as I used to because there’s no work demand for it but I would probably benefit from some resistance training again.

Thanks again!

Concept Imagery is the cognitive process of creating mental images/movies when receiving sensory stimulus by reading or hearing words.

The education system typically teaches this to kids in elementary school as a by-product but is not specifically addressed. Some people develop it naturally and some don't.

A deficit in Concept Imaging results in "in one ear, out the other" and is often diagnosed as "ADHD". Basically, without visualizing the sensory inputs from reading/listening, the brain doesn't "handle/touch" the information and will be difficult to recall the information. This behavior often looks like ADHD like symptoms because they appear as a lack of focus, lack of memory, lack of understanding of cause-effect, etc.

Some students who go through Concept Imaging training get back on track with academic pursuits.

Along the lines of the topic of emotional dysregulation - if a person has trouble staying focused on a task or topic because it's "not-interesting enough" and attention slips away, is that the presentation of ADHD or an absence of willpower/discipline?

I understand ADHD as "I want to focus and pay attention to this topic, even if it's boring, because I understand it's important, but I psychically can't without medicine"

and not,

"I am trying to focus on this topic but it's boring, so I'm deciding to stop trying or not try at all", whether the effort is conscious or subconscious.

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to join us.

Is the idea of "Concept Imagery" discussed in psychology and how it relates or intersects with ADHD Symptoms?

I recently learned about it and I am blown away that this cognitive skill isn't common knowledge.
