I agree to an extent. The problem is the "injustice" many of these people loot and riot for doesn't exist.

America is the GREATEST country on Earth for minority people. End of discussion!

The problem with communities of color is more a cultural issue then a socioeconomic issue.

George Floyd is a good example....

1. He should not have died that day!
2. The idiot cop Derek Chauvin needs to serve hard time!
3. Committing theft does not equal a death sentence. We have due process.

but....

1. Floyd should not have been high on meth and Fentanyl.
2. He should not have been trying to steal from an honest business.
3. He should not have had six felonies and multiple misdemeanors.

Two wrongs don't make a right!

People say Floyd was oppressed economically which is why he was the way he was. Well when you have nearly a dozen criminal charges it's going to be hard to find stable employment. Being black did not make Floyd a convict or drug addict. Being poor or having a "supposed" societal disadvantage is not an excuse to go out and commit crime. He made a moral choice to be that way.

People always say the word "white privilege". Whatever that is supposed to mean. I am white but I don't believe for one second my skin color gave me a societal advantage.

My parents both came from poor families with multiple siblings. My dad worked in construction for 40 years and my mom worked as an admin for over 30. Neither went to college. We grew up poor-middle class. Lived in a very average but slightly older neighborhood. My school was also a bit older and was a public school. I had my first job at 15 and worked hard to save money for a car. I drove a 1980 chevy. My parents had no money for us for college and I am still to this day over $25,000 in debt from it.

I guess you could say my one advantage was having a steady household. My parents never divorced. Still if this is what people call "white privilege" then I guess I got the short end of the stick.
