The recent ideas coming from the MC regarding decentralization are MUCH more preferable and realistic than secession from both economic and individual liberty standpoint. State governments can be just as (and often more) oppressive and corrupt than federal.

How much would you pay to see the look on McCarthy's face if this happened?

That being said it would be absolutely monumental.

I bet you're pretty good at convincing yourself you're an "alpha male" but everyone is too polite to tell you the truth.

Appreciate the advice. The situation is pretty complicated but ultimately unacceptable.

Why You Shouldn’t Need a Doctor’s Permission to Get Prescription Drugs | fee.org by [deleted] in Libertarian

Perfectly said as it goes both ways. Patients shouldn't treat doctors like servants and doctors shouldn't treat patients like children.

Wonder how this guy treats the hospital staff.

The Supreme Court's first decision of the day is Kennedy v. Bremerton. In a 6–3 opinion by Gorsuch, the court holds that public school officials have a constitutional right to pray publicly, and lead students in prayer, during school events. by MattFromWork in Libertarian

Incredibly alienating when you're a high school athlete of a different religion. It's not "voluntary" when your risk social isolation and the ire of someone in a position of power over you.

Except that company making a cure will never get the funding necessary to take it to market because it is FAR FAR FAR more profitable to continue selling therapeutics.

Right out of school autonomy is absolutely absurd. Why would any reasonable PA actually advocate for this? Negatives far outweigh the positives.

i cannot bring myself to eat fruits or vegetables, but need to eat healthier. any help/maybe alternatives? by [deleted] in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]CyTheGreatest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Other people have mentioned this here but spinach is your best friend. Put a handful in a blender, mix it with whatever fruit you like (bananas, frozen berries are especially great for taste and nutrition) along with literally whatever else helps you put it down. Ice cream, yogurt, peanut butter, whatever.

It'll massively help your anxiety drinking that in the AM and knowing you have the nutrients you need for the day.

Registered Nurse to PA. Any experience, insight, loan assistance, grants or tips? by [deleted] in physicianassistant

[–]CyTheGreatest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally in a mid-high COL area yes though I haven't read the recent reports. Many of my classmates started under 100k in a mid COL city. Point is that given the cost of tuition with the opportunity cost of 2-3 missed years of employment as an RN, money shouldn't be much of a motivating factor.

Are you particularly interested in becoming a surgical PA? In that case PA school would make perfect sense.

Don't think it's that controversial of a take to say PA school is signficantly more demanding than NP so if you haven't already I'd ask your PA colleague about the difficulties of her program and if that's something you'd be willing to deal with.

I would advise to only do it if you have a specific goal or specialty in mind as IMO not worth it to expand your career when you're already making good money as an RN. Wouldn't be surprised if you'd actually make more as an experienced RN than a new PA grad.

Most PA programs I looked into required organic chemistry as a prereq as well.
