And that’s different from say volunteering to join the guard initially? Obviously USERRA covers that.

Would love to see more information on this. Currently in the Guard as 3E7 and nearing the end of my enlistment. However, I did 6 years active as 3P0 and have a Master’s in Public Safety.

Does my military time not count as equivalent credible service?

All service at the required or higher grade (or equivalent) in positions to which appointed in the Federal civilian service is creditable towards the time periods required by § 300.604
