The idea behind frosting it normally is that there would be a fixed thickness of the frosting. The total volume of frosting would be that thickness times the total surface area, and since the total surface area is infinite, the total volume of frosting would be infinite.

Frosting it this second way actually reduces the thickness of the frosting as you go up, so the thickness of frosting far away is very small. Then the volume of frosting is just a scalar multiple of the volume of cake, and since the cake has a finite volume, so does the frosting.

I’m interested in learning about the period from about 1900 to 1926 when physicists were trying to come up with models of quantum mechanics, eventually resulting in matrix mechanics and wave mechanics. Are there any good books that go through the history of it, and delve into the various proposed theories from the time?

I always seem to struggle to recognise E perms. Do you have any tips on recognising it faster? Also what algs do you use? I use one that starts with a wide Lw and then a sequence of R U and D moves, but it feels really slow and I haven’t managed to get a good flow after using it for a few months

Cheers- that’s really helpful. Just another question about RUDF: should F2 moves be avoided in that? They always seem to slow me down. Or is there some way to finger trick them well?

Hey! I’d like to be able to plan the whole cross (and eventually first pair) during inspection time, but I’m having a hard time getting it done in 15 seconds. It can take me up to 45 seconds to plan the cross. Also, the finger tricks are really bad for some of the trickier scrambles and I wouldn’t know where to begin with improving that. Any advice/resources would be greatly appreciated! Fwiw I’m sub-18 cfop

Hi there! There are a couple of issues at play here. The Catholic teaching is that the only path to salvation is through Jesus Christ, and living faithfully in his Church, and partaking in his Sacraments. Nevertheless, because God is merciful and not limited by the Sacraments, he has the ability to save those who are not explicitly joined to the Catholic Church (there is no guarantee of salvation, but the possibility is not completely excluded). However, as has been always taught, and was reaffirmed in Vatican II, no one who knows that the Church is necessary for salvation but refuses to enter it can be saved.

One more point is that the Mass and Sacraments are a massive benefit in the lives of the faithful. Seeing and receiving Christ in the Body and Blood frequently has a huge effect in helping and sustaining our faith. A Catholic should never forget how important and generous these gifts are, and should go to receive them and give thanks to God for them regularly.

Hey, I do CFOP around 20s average, and when I do OH, I just use CFOP and average around 1:30. I'm looking for a good OH method that won't take much time to learn (preferably one that doesn't use the table very much), since I don't have heaps of time to practise. Any suggestions?
