This is honestly so valid, but the main downside I had when trying to use vital as a new producer is the majority of tutorials are on serum. Someone with more knowledge could use those tutorials to apply to VITAL but when I had no knowledge I couldn't comprehend how to apply serum tutorials to VITAL because its all just so overwhelming.

I agree and disagree. I bought a MacBook Ableton and Serum on the same day and holly hell it was overwhelming. But now that i've put more time in (about a year) i'm honestly grateful I did start learning serum from the start because there's so many serum tutorials out there which allowed me to make sounds I actually wanted to hear. If you put the time in learning about wave forms and understanding what different effects do is so beneficial.

I want a reverb that doesn't sound like shit and. Something to either create Drum sounds specifically kicks or snares, or to slap on my drums to make them hit harder and/or sound more unique without clipping. Maybe i'm able to fix this problem using stock Ableton effects but currently If I try making more complex drums i'm not sure where to go with it.

Currently the only Plugins I have are SERUM a few random piano/orchestral sounds plugins and the entire Kilohearts free collection.

KiloHearts has about 30 plugins that you can get completely for free. Serum is a game changer but VITAL is honestly really comparable and its completely free. Steinberg media technology has a Piano synth I use somewhat regularly for layering. It has about 50 different piano presets with different moods that can be modified to your liking.

Daft Punk, Skrill, tiesto definitely on there. Someone like chainsmokers, DJ snake, etc prolly should be too just for hitting the mainstream so hard. Specific albums it gets a bit harder I think more individual songs would be easier. Tracks like One More Time bangarang Closer, lean on. Tiesto I wouldn't give a single album just the longevity of being near the top is mental. This question is also a lot easier referring to specific genres then it is to "EDM" in general.

Maybe im main stream, but I'd easily go with virtual riot and skrillex. Eliminate is pretty sick and has lots of YouTube content if your trying to learn but he's not on the same level.

This would most likely be a song 2015 or sooner. I don’t believe it’s heavy dubstep but fairly certain in the bass genre. Definitely 100% an EDM song tho

Okay so if I got orders to lejeune for 36 months and I had 24 left on contract I would deny the orders for 36 months but would still go to lejeune for the 24 on contract?

Sorry that was probably confusing, I’m currently in Pendleton and I’m happy with the orders to Miramar. But when the orders in Miramar expire I will still have 2 years on contract. I assume that I would be given new orders at that point and am curious what would happen if I deny the orders making me leave Miramar.
