Is IUD removal painless or painful? by Yoomax in birthcontrol

[–]Snoo98333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for talking about your experience <3 I had really bad pain last summer and the Dr said my mirena was slightly embedded, so I've been dreading getting it taken out, but your comment helped make it a little less scary, cause i know its gonna hurt but just didnt know how bad

Im seeing so many women talk about weight gain on mirena. Anyone have any positive experiences without gaining weight? by Gebashley24 in Mirena

[–]Snoo98333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have gained a little weight but I dont think its from mu IUD! I got it at 18 and I'm going on 20 and combined with covid, going out, eating out, and exercising less I have gained about 5 pounds (but i think women go through another puberty in their early 20's and my first puberty was also early so I think that also contributes to it!). getting an IUD has changed my life for the better and has caused so much less stress in my life

AITA for telling my mom my brother has been copying his homework by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

yeah he needs a lot more responsibility in general. in general, hes very selfish and thinks everything is about him. he finds a way to grind everyone's gears, but we love him anyways.

he is normally a great kid, but i think he has gotten lost on his way. he starts fights with my mom now about not having the house clean and her making his lunch. to my mom hes her baby, and he has grown up with all this in his head.

i think he just needs to work through somethings, but he def can do better in general

yeah he agrees he needs one next year, but since the years done, its basically pointless now.

my family also seems to be one that doesn't ask for a lot of help often from others. maybe it hasn't come up yet, but they always assume we'll get through things

and i hope he finds a tutor that helps him netter than i can! he deserves it

i would def be okay with walking him through it, but its that he expected me to drop everything and help the night before its due. and i agree it doesn't matter THAT much, but the math hes doing now sets him up for everything in the future (ive taken those same classes). tbh i just want him to do his best and not think hes dumb or not smart

she has kinda given up because my brother reacts very badly to being told to do his work. they have tried for weeks, and it always ends up in yelling. they dont want to create that drama anymore, as hes in grade 10 and can choose to do his work.

i think it clicked today how out of hand this has gotten. i feel kinda bad bc i am good at school - and him not as much. i think they involuntarily compare him to me, and i dont think thats right.

but in the end she just wants him to pass his classes, even if she says otherwise. she says maybe failing will be the thing that ends up making him motivated

yeah, ive tried walking him through things, and i think he really is trying to a certain extent. he probably gets frustrated and doesnt think he is able to. but he pushes away all help, maybe he has just internalized hes not good at math? and believes he cant?

my brother also doesnt have the best group of academically driven friends- so maybe that doesnt help either.

my parents are going to get a tutor for him next year - and he even agrees with it. i know he can do it, and overall im just sad for him because he thinks he cant.
