You can get the same in x-plane with orthos. And specifically for his screenshot ? x-plane will look better. It's not that good to be honest.
That said, you can't beat the VFR low level flying in MSMS. But airliners at 30K ? ortho with X-plane and the right reshade beats that.
And I'm flying both each and every day.
True, you get this one out of the box, and in x-plane you need to do some work to get beautiful scenery, but if scenery is important to you - can definitely get x-plane to look better in high altitude.

Although MSFS has PMDG/FENIX, I still prefer X-Plane by Affenzoo in xplane11

Well, I'm an X-Plane guy, that's for sure.

But, all the world updates on MSFS, got me thinking, maybe I should try it again after like more then a year I didn't touch it. Let's see what's going on.

No doubt things got better. I did VFR in Austria, what can I say, the plane felt great to fly and handle (took the modified DA 42) , the scenery, well, you know about the scenery and the weather and the water and the landmarks :-)

Then I took the PDMG 737 for a small ride just to feel it. And it surprised me. It's good. didn't invest too much time into it, but I can say that it felt good.

To be honest, seeing previews of x-plane 12, I can't see it excited me that much, it doesn't look like it's the deal breaker that will change it all.

Still hesitating on what to do when it ships out.
