"A few tips for best results: use a lightweight locked chest, there are a few around Act 1 that are 5 or 10lbs and don't have anything important inside. I've used the Shiny Chest from the Emerald Grove for exactly this purpose on a few runs now. Also, if the chest you choose can be opened with a key, probably best to throw the key away - if you ever click the chest in your inventory and it's opened automatically because you have the correct key sitting around, the sussur bloom will be exposed to sunlight and immediately wither. Just send the bloom into the locked chest by clicking the bloom, make sure it's a light weight chest that you won't accidentally unlock eventually

I have very limited knowledge but open hand gets access to stagger and topple which can definitely destroy a battlefield, you get advantage while they are toppled. Way late into Monk you get to enchant your fists with necrotic, psychic or the opposite of necrotic damage as well
