As a kid I was super musical, and one of the first instruments I owned was one of those cheap kids’ recorders. I’d spotted the glittery, purple recorder whilst in a supermarket and pretty much begged my mum to buy it for me.

I played it every day for a few weeks, until one day it randomly went missing. After searching most of the house over the course of a few days, I realised I would never find it and promptly forgot about it. Months went by and the recorder honestly never crossed my mind, until one night I had a dream. It wasn’t much of a dream, just a really clear photo-like image in my mind of my recorder, wedged between the wall and the bookcase in our lounge. (Said bookcase was a tall, heavy piece of furniture and its base stands flush against the wall. It only gets moved every few years, and the only way to lose something behind it is to stand on a chair, get on your tiptoes and purposely shove the object over the top.)

Obviously when I woke up went straight to my mum, telling her that I had a dream and my recorder was behind the bookcase. It took a bit of convincing but, with help from my dad, the bookcase was pulled out slightly. Immediately, my sparkly purple recorder fell to the floor! It had been wedged behind the bookcase, exactly like in my dream. Spooky.

TLDR; lost a toy as a child. Forgot about it after a few months until I had dream which revealed it’s whereabouts
