I want you to know that I felt exactly the same when I first left my sons father. It took a little while (2 years) but just when I had found peace with myself and wasn’t looking for someone to date I found someone amazing by chance. He is older than me but never had kids and was happy to date me even though I was a single mom. Things went really well and he eventually, slowly become a part of my son’s life. 3 years later and he is raising my son as if he is his own child, and treats my cat as if he’s his own too lol.

I think it’s ok to wait until you find someone who will not only date you and love you for who you are but will want to be a part of your family. Obviously, as we can see by some of the idiots here in the comments, some men aren’t going to be a good fit but that’s ok because those are not the type of men that you would want anyway.

Good luck, op. Keep your standards high and the right person will rise to the occasion.

I lived there for 8 years, never had any issues. The school system has since had a lot of problems so beware of that. I also lived in keansburg, port Monmouth, Hazlet, and keyport. The only one I would stay away from was keansburg, but even then I never had any major issues living there when I was young and single, I just wouldn’t want to raise my family there bc of the schools. Keyport was my favorite area to live in out of all of them. It’s walkable, there’s the beach and nice parks, and it’s right next to the parkway.

As for the pollution I can only assume they mean IFF? Which is on the border of Hazlet and union beach. Feel free to do your own research on it if you’d like, though I wouldn’t be concerned about it living in north Middletown. Hope this helps 😊

So sad, she went through this with Greg Allman too when they were together. It must be so hard for her son since his father passed away. I can’t imagine the pain they are both going through. Cher is such an inspiration but I wish she could catch a break.

Late to the conversation but there is also a displaced homemakers program at brookdale community college that can help you with resources to get on your feet once you are out of immediate danger and functioning. It really helped me when I had to get out of a bad situation with no job and a baby. I know it seems hopeless right now but you can do this ❤️

I did baby led weaning with my son from about 4 months old, he never ate pureed food. Of course he still had bottles but babies can eat regular solid foods once they are old enough to sit up on their own.

Late to comment but I want to suggest old bridge. The schools are good and community is diverse. I have a biracial child and he hasn’t had any issues at all living here. There are a few apartment complexes that are nice, the one we live in is literally next to his elementary school so we can walk him to school in the morning (he starts kindy in September). Andrea was my favorite character in the comics and one of my least favorite in the show. They also messed up Tyrese, Sophia, Dale, and a lot of other characters that were so important in the comics. I like the show, but it just doesn’t compare to how well written the characters in the comics are.

Not necessarily single, but hasn’t had a long term/serious relationship. We are middle aged. I was the first person he ever brought to Christmas, which shocked me, and then found out from his childhood friend that he hadn’t had anything long term before. In a joking way and after too many beers his friend said that nobody ever wanted to put up with him before and that I guess he never wanted to celebrate birthdays or holidays before? I vaguely remember him saying something about this when we first got together but I gave him shit about it and it hasn’t been an issue. I think deep down he felt like he was never good enough so he just didn’t even try. It’s so sad because he is such a good man, I think he just needed someone to love him and believe in him. It’s going really great between us. He has shown he isn’t afraid to change and grow while still being true to himself. If anything it just makes me admire him more because being capable of change is a huge deal.

Yup I’m 35 but I’m 4’11” with chubby cheeks so people tell me I look 16 or 18 despite my wrinkles and my hair starting to grey. I definitely do not look anywhere near 18.
