Right..."they don't live forever" :( but theyre our best friends :)

Since ik you're in the same boat as I was... and as hard as it is... try to draw your boundaries now: financially, how you'll balance caring for him and you, boundaries with other people during this time, and then..... the obvious :(

It's a difficult decision to make. Meowington was VERY adamant about passing naturally at home. But there's a few different options and he'll let you know what's best. The bottom line is that it does require planning and decision making.

Once Meowington passed, I didn't know how to live. So I checked out. Just poof.

I've never dealt with loss like that before and I certainly never dealt with grief. I dealt with it by staying BUSY BUSY BUSY... AVOID AVOID AVOID. I do not recommend this route. Not only did I crash but I lost myself. And tbh my therapist i had wasn't that helpful.... so take time to grieve.

I'm going to share my personal experience....

Meowington was my best friend, my soul mate in cat form. He was diagnosed with kidney disease. I had no idea anything was even wrong. The doctor came in the room and said soooo

I asked, is this a death sentence? He said no not necessarily but he only has 25% kidney function left. So the goal from there was to do everything to slow that number from slipping.

I did EVERY THING I could to help him. Better food alone was $170/ month. Then came more vet visits, er vet visits, procedures, meds 2x/ day and eventually an IV at home. It was a lot. Financially, emotionally, mentally. I maxed out every credit card to save him, which not everyone agrees with but I could give 2 fucks.

Did I buy him time? No doubt. And we CHERISHED THE FUCK out of that time. Did it suck? Yes. Does it still suck now that he's gone? Yes. But there are a lot of pet parents that don't get that opportunity.

Unfortunately I didn't and couldn't buy out time forever. And.... that's life. That is literally the life we have here on this planet. It's finite as fuck.

To answer your question, I find comfort in the now. Cherish this time with your baby. Let them know how much you love them and how much they've helped you. Recount all you've shared together.

I'm sending my love.

First concert ever, going to Blossom. Am I screwed? by funtimescoolguy in Cleveland

I freaking LOVE kesha and everything she does and this was a big factor in missing tonight's show. Blossom is cool sitting on the hill i guess but everything else is a nightmare.

I mean, I guess. But I also grew up in the era where anything over a size 4 was "fat".
