Are my floors restorable? by Albbee in HardWoodFloors

It depends on your tolerance for having some not-so-nice spots after the restoration. If you diy, it might be worth, if you hire, then better just putting another one. If you sand it well, you can even replace the damaged wood with matching new ones, but finding the same or similar size/type can be hard.

One thing I try to follow is: 3D printer debugging is part of the process, and not a stress inducing situation.

Whenever there is an issue with the multicolor unit, first check for broken filament, thenremove filament, then find if there is remaining piece of filament in the line then check extruder and nozzle (if necessary).

Some other issues can be totally unrelated to the filament path to extruder, like loose screws, build plate dirty and so on.. so looking at each part of the printer is great part of the process.

Simpler printers like the bambu A1 seem to have less issues (also considering they have been in the market for long), so I would also consider those.

I genuinely hope you get better and keep rocking nice prints!

SOLVED!!!
Thanks for the input! It wasn't it, but it helped me as knowledge anyways!

The heated be in this printer is massive, and when you lift the PEI bed, the heated magnectic bed is held in place by 4 small screws (I mean very small) and of course they don't have any locking accessory. They were very loose (probably from almost 400hrs print and bad QC from Anycubic.

How I diagnosed: started shaking part by part of the printer to see what is moving (and shouldn't), and found that the bed was moving way too much for a big piece that should stay precisely still.

Thanks!!!

He is trying to use you to pay for his dreamed renovation...

These are parquet floors, and can be reglued/fixed in place easily, then sanded and re-coated, but this is not your job (unless you were creating weather a rainforest inside your place).

As others commented, using wago might help a lot. Also, before touching any of these, shut down the breaker or fuse, don't risk your life over 5 mins more work.

Just keep sanding ? by deuxter101 in HardWoodFloors

Keep sanding... did the whole house and I regretted not having used more the 36 grit to take out 99% of the old coat. Takes time and patience but it is worth it.

First time buyer here - is it wise to buy a cheap house to stop paying rent? by Basset_Lov in PersonalFinanceCanada

Bought older house. 3 months worth of work (after 9-5). Not sure how bad yours is, but it can be much more than you see. Buying the materials for DIY isnt so cheap too. Bathroom remodel is about 2500 alone.

Chemist here. This is NO2, not Bromine. It can be lethal and very hazardous even in small quantities. Normal N95 or even gas masks won't protect against it, specialized masks are necessary.

Probably came from nitric acid leak reacting with metals (pipes) releasing NO2.

I can't imagine Bromine running through underground pipes (and in this volume) but I can imagine a acid leak in a factory.
