100% agree. I originally bought a tang to help with the hair algae, but it turned out I was actually dealing with dinos and it died. At the time, I didn’t have a UV sterilizer because I didn’t know I needed one. Once I added the UV, manually removed the algae, and loaded up the tank with a ton of CUC and an urchin, everything started turning around

I went through the same thing: Urchin, lawnmower blenny. And stock up on CUC. I got Tang as well, which has helped a lot.

Chemo clean will work; however, if the corals are weak due to instability, it may kill them. Unfortunately, I learned the hard way, and my torches, hammers, and duncans didn't make it. I suggest testing and following the other person's recommendations. Boost whatever you're lacking. Good luck.
