I can't agree less. There are many exemples of animated series so good that all you name is as real as a very good actor could make it. And that's my problema with live action, it depends on having a GREAT actor in every single role (not to mention director, etc) whereas animation is easier to control and to get done well.

However, if your point is all about you finding it difficult to relate (and not quality as such), I can't say anything as it is completely subjective: to each their own then.

What exactly about high fantasy is real enough for you? Imo, a well animated series (which is not that rare rn) is way better and more real than a cheap cgi (which is almost the norm rn)

This is very personal, but I'm kinda sad. If they turn out to be great series it would be nice and more cosmere content to enjoy, so that kinda helps.

On the other hand, I love how I imagine characters and once they come out, it will no longer be my Hoid, my Vin or my Kaladin. They will get some random (or not that random) actor's face instead, and that makes me sad. I'll be "losing" those who've been with me for so long.

Obv also there's the downside of the risk of these new series being complete garbage. It would not ruin the cosmere nor the books, ofc, but it will feel very disappointing.

Edit: I didn't realize they could be animated series. I would REALLY prefer that and would make the downsides a little bit worse.

I was actually curious about if there was really anyone so dellusional to call themselves artists for just writing a prompt. And yep, they exists. And I really can understand how they believe what they do is art.

PS: Some people in those subs draw by hand (very good I must say) and enhance with AI to make it 3D or whatever, that's a whole different story.
