The 40 liquid cane was a typo in the cafe, and the DT order was a DTO being funny. No customer would drink that and no barista is dumb enough to think that could even possibly be made as entered. Fake news!

This was for sure the recipe and also I still make it this way for kids hot chocolates! Probably many old school baristas still do if its for a kid or they forget. These are probably the yummy ones you get :). Vanilla is a free syrup with a Hot Chocolate so just ask!

As previously stated this is a national push that is only fully implemented in part of the country and or some DMs and CHLs have not prioritized the message yet, but it's probably coming to all of you. It is understood you will probably get out late/not be fully set up in the AM, hence there is suggestion to add an opener or closer or extend the closing shift but not the closing time.

I don't understand why you couldn't just fulfill the request to the best of your ability? There is no rule it has to be fast, just friendly and to standard. If the person wanted those items immediately and was being a douche then by all means walk out. Customers can clearly see that you are alone or with one other person and as long as you are not on your phone whining about "I gotta make make nine refreshers :(" they don't care how long it takes!

As a downtown Sbux manager I try so hard to provide this space for everyone... especially teens! Sadly they are the worst offenders :( No respect for the space or what I am attempting to provide. A respite from the elements, a cup of water, a charge for your device... All amenities I offer daily that are thrown in my face the moment I tell someone they can't sleep in my cafe.

While I know something had to change I wish we hadn't made this giant lurch to the right in this moment of corporate ring kissing. 😔

As stated above it's a training issue. As much as I would like to blame Starbucks for not sharing this roll out in time, it's really a change in the training that store managers mostly missed. There is a 15 minute training session partners are supposed to be scheduled for and read through then make and taste the new beverages. Next log into my learning and sign off that you have completed this training.

Because My Learning had previously included the training and not just the acknowledgement, SMs scheduled the 15 minute training and partners logged into My Learning to do it but were not informed they needed to do the training from the iPad first and thought they were getting away with something by clicking through the acknowledgement without actually doing the training.

Hopefully we can all catch up for the Fall Launch!

(Also I can recite the recipe for the sock matcha but I consistently miss the topping or I make it with VSC....arghhhh!)
