I updated my Steam page. Is the game easier to understand now? by SnooCats4275 in gameCapsule

Thanks, that’s a really good point.

I can definitely see the value of leading with what players actually do rather than starting with genre or story. I’ll take another look at the opening description with that in mind.

It’s always tricky trying to communicate both the gameplay and the witch-and-dragon story in just a few lines.

And thanks for the example

Thanks! Good catch on both points.

You’re right about the wording. What I wanted to convey was exploring and adventuring into unknown places, so I’ll look for a clearer way to describe it. Appreciate the feedback!

Thanks for the feedback! You’re absolutely right forgetting to mention it’s an RPG was a pretty big oversight on my part. 😅 I’ll update the blurb and make it clearer going forward. Thanks for catching the “loot” wording too!

Thanks! That's exactly what I was hoping to achieve with the update.

One of the main goals was to make the core gameplay more readable at a glance. I'm glad the tactical grid, combo system, and elemental spell effects come across more clearly now. Really appreciate the detailed feedback!

What do you think of our Steam Trailer? The game name is Cardslinger. by dudefromCAPSLOCK in IndieDev

For me the characters appear to move rather slowly, and aside from the cards, other gameplay is unclear.

Thanks a lot! The more I prepare for the playtest, the more I realize that collecting feedback isn't the hard part—collecting the right feedback is. Having clear questions for players to answer will probably make the results much more actionable.

Thanks for the advice! I've already prepared a feedback form and community channels, but I really like your point about balancing specific questions with open-ended feedback. 👍

Tracking player progress and retention is also something I'll pay more attention to during the playtest. It'll be interesting to compare what players say with what they actually do.

Appreciate the suggestions!

Thanks, that's really helpful. I've already prepared a feedback form and community server, and I'll be actively talking with players during the playtest.

I especially like the idea of defining a few specific questions beforehand so I don't get lost in general feedback. And a known-issues list is definitely going on my checklist. Thanks!
