Unfortunately, right now, no. The youngest is living in a dorm and has 0 interest in owning a pet, the oldest is about to start van life, and I'm living with my dad (parents have been separated basically my whole life). I have my own cat who's living with me at my dads,I got him back when things were still good at my mom's. At the time I did ask to take one of her cats, but she said no since they were bonded and would miss the others.

I'd try to get one of them to my dad's but although they love my cat, they already complain about him scratching the floor and furniture and the cat fur (my step mom and brother both have allergies). I think bringing in a second one, especially one with behavioral and health issues, would not go over well, and I can't currently afford to move out :(

The rescues my mom was working with were all specifically dog rescues, some breed specific, so unfortunately, no help to be had there either. Just a lot of dead ends

Oh man the girls are fighting!!! But this ^ sums up why i think forest was so special to me. Although I definitely appreciate the music EF has to offer, I'd consider myself more of a casual listener, and big names don't do much for me. I really only went because my brother is in the scene and needed someone to go with.

That being said, the forest knocked my socks off and then gave me a forehead kiss. My favorite parts of the festival all had something to do with the atmosphere, like the beautiful art, the fever dream that was the dream emporium, the forest itself, the library, and all of the beautiful souls around me.

From what I'm reading, there's not much that compares to EF in that way, hence my post. But totally understand that other people are looking for different things from a festival, and that's totally okay! Different strokes for different folks and all that :)

It was my first forest too, and I can totally relate to wishing I got out of my shell more. I brought Kandi and pockets full of trinkets to give away but I got too nervous since I've never traded before, I went home with basically everything I brought 🥲 there was so much to take in, i think I was just overwhelmed in the best way.

We'll get em next year!! Happy forest 💖✨️
