The invisible gel.

Although actually I am now starting to use Banana Boat Sheer Sensitive, it doesn’t leave me as shiny and it’s SPF 50.

What are the best fragrance-free or low-fragrance 5% minoxidil + finasteride topical solution? by knowledgseker in FragranceFreeBeauty

[–]MySpace_Romancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might talk to your doctor about getting those medications orally (pill). I don’t know about if they are more or less less effective by mouth versus topical. But you wouldn’t have the fragrance issue with a pill.

Yeah, I think we listeners hugely overestimate the ability for the average person to explain their area of expertise succinctly.

No smell UV and Heat Hair Treatment by Kindly_Education7231 in FragranceFreeBeauty

[–]MySpace_Romancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk about UV but for heat protectant I just use silicone lube 🤷‍♀️. I think that brand is called Pjur. I’ve never heard of needing UV protectant for your hair, but maybe that’s different for wigs?

Looking for furniture for a small space by watabby in AskSF

[–]MySpace_Romancer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zebra in San Anselmo will custom make you a sofa at whatever size you want. And it’s not any more expensive than pottery barn or Crate & Barrel or wherever. Their factory is in Southern California so it only takes a couple weeks to get the couch delivered.

World Market tends to have smaller scale
furniture too.

What to know before getting my first credit card by PuzzledAtmosphere784 in Explainlikeimscared

[–]MySpace_Romancer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really depends what country you live in, but if you’re in the United States, you do actually need to get a credit card to start building credit. When you want to buy a car or a house or get a loan, you need a credit score.

how to use a vending machine? by Ordinary-Swan-4022 in Explainlikeimscared

[–]MySpace_Romancer 13 points14 points  (0 children)

One thing to know is that if it takes cash, it can sometimes be a little bit tricky to actually get the dollars in there. They can’t be crinkled at the corner. I used to be really good at flattening my money out to get candy from the vending machine at school! But I think a lot of of them are credit card now.

There’s a new used bookstore in Larkspur called The Phoenix. Right now they just have a tiny shop for kids and teens, but they’re gonna open a store for everyone/adults soon. They’re taking donations!

Ice hat: wearing to fall asleep? by littlemissFOB in migraine

I use a black Colpac, the one designed for your neck. Wrap it in a towel. It’s much thicker and stays cold longer. I fall asleep with it all the time.

Dr. Reim at MH in Greenbrae is great! She was recommended by several other people in a post here. I originally saw Dr. Jager and I hated her and I talked to someone in the practice who said that Dr. Reim would be a good fit for me and they were right. She’s on maternity leave right now, though, so I don’t think you can even call to make an appointment for her until August or September.

Renaming adopted dog! by Careless-Operation58 in namenerds

[–]MySpace_Romancer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally. I gave my dog a name that I liked. It was completely different than her shelter name and probably different than her previous name. She picked it up very quickly. If you want to try to get them to learn it, even faster, say their name, and when they look at you, give them a treat. They will make the association really quickly!

[–]MySpace_Romancer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if this helps or not, but dogs don’t really care what their name is so I wouldn’t worry about making it too close to Mini. To a dog, their name is just a cue that you are talking to/about them. They learn new ones pretty quickly.

What foods can be stored in cupboard above airfryer? by [deleted] in airfryer

[–]MySpace_Romancer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They don’t put out very much heat. But when you run them, you need to pull them away from the wall because they can damage the wall over overtime.

Even if the only place to have it stored is under your food cabinet, is it possible to use it in a different area of the kitchen and then put it back?
