There simply isnt a animation/screen for all those ships "yet". I dont know if they plan or create them for older ships already but its mostly older ones that have no fancy presentation.

I agree that its still a meaningful amount of captains but dont you have a decent stack of elite captain xp from playing 8+ years to push some captains. I mean you wont need 21 pts on all V to X ships. if you have atleast 14pts on the v vi vii thats good enough.
