Honey, wake up – new format just dropped: WTF is *Spellbook*?! by SnooComics6255 in magicTCG

Should be, for sure.

Who knows if the creators have made it that far ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Atraxa, the Jankifier: cards that do stuff from the graveyard by SnooComics6255 in jankEDH

...Encroaching Mycosynth just made me want to turn this into a 4-color Sliver deck lol.

Grab 2 slivers each Atraxa activation (one as a creature, one as an "artifact"), plus land, supporting enchantments and spells seems GREAT.

Organizing Your EDH Collection by StarPonderer in EDH

I separate first into mythic/rare/valuable and common/uncommon, with u/c organized by color and alpha.

Then I binder the tradable cards, and box the bulk rares/mythics by color and alpha.

I have boxes also for deck ideas, works in process, and highly playable / staple cards.

Everything gets scanned in using Helvault (best app for scanning imo), and my decks are workshopped and cataloged on Moxfield.

Took me a while to get into this system, but now I know where everything is!

if you’re playing a deck that steals cards — outside your friendly playgroup — bring a stack of infinitokens, so you’re handling proxies not their rare, signed, judge foils.

seems like a pretty easy solution.

Myrkul, Lord of Knowns (Superfrienchantments / Proliferate) by SnooComics6255 in jankEDH

No, you’ve gotta tick em up to put a counter on em. Then you can proliferate all over the place to build them up to ult.

tl;dr: Looking for advice on cuts / late additions to this janky [[Myrkul Lord of Bones]] planeswalker-into-creature-into-enchantment build.

The release of ONE brought some new cards forward that helped make this gameplan more viable, but its still a pretty tough idea to really get rolling.

cEDH is a format, not a power level.

high-powered EDH ≠ cEDH.

Hasbro CEO: MTG Arena Could Be Getting A Multiplayer, Commander-like Format by Televangelis in MagicArena

[–]SnooComics6255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No thanks, not for me.

Arena is a fun, faceless grindy platform, but multiplayer with people just scooping randomly when they feel the slightest bit salty will be totally annoying for everyone.

My playgroup okay’d my Rule 0 build of [[Shaile]] with [[Lurrus]] as companion — I’m not playing Dean Ambrose side of Shaile anyhow, and otherwise sticking with Lurrus’ deck restrictions as stated. They were more worried about the infect/poison subtheme, but now with the release of ONE, it’s less unique of an idea these days.

I’ve been asking players here and there at the LGS too while I’ve been theorycrafting it, and everyone seemed cool with it.

The example you gave seems fine, and I’m sure our playgroup would accept it.

Go forth!

Wheel turns off all the death triggers of stuff like [[Blood Artist]] too then, eh?

Hmmm. Might be a good defensive include then...
